Upsy Daisy Thanks

Upsy Daisy from Stampin Up is a fun stamp set. I cased this card from an email I received and I deleted the email so I can't give the credit to  the person that I should.  So sorry!  Gotta keep those emails.  Anyhow, I used yoyo yellow ink from SU and just put only orange marker on the tips of the flowers. The only difference in the card are the  Memory Box Darla and Vivienne butterfly as well as a different  ribbon.  I have been using a lot of blue and purple so I was glad to try a different set of colors.  I think I have my thank you cards done so now onto Valentine's Day!

Blue on Blue

I have had this SU embossing folder for a while now and have wanted to use it.  Making it the main theme of the card I thought would be better than making it the background.  I used the daubers to color in the flowers and stems of the EF. Love the crinkled ribbon look! It worked well with SU's DP. Just a quick "thank you note".  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Hubby!

My husband's birthday was this past weekend and he has taken up bird watching. From out our family room window this is pretty much out scene.  He has put up 4 bird feeders and we have gotten a lot of birds, mostly chickadees and there has been a cardinal from time to time.  The window die is from Memory box and the curtain is MS punch. The trees are embossed with black and is from SU's Trees Three. The little red bird is from a stamp set that I bought at Stamped Designs this past weekend from  Impression Obsession-so appropriate. This is my first attempt at a window card - a lot of fun!

For my husband's birthday gift, my sisters, brother in laws, and a friend Cathy went to our favorite "junkin" places in Dover, NH and Wells, Maine  and found this beer mug. He has started collecting them and this was perfect to add to his obsession!

Russ found this one!
Just before Christmas he started collecting this mugs and now has 34!!! Check out below his collection. It is getting so that he doesn't know what he has and doesn't have.  I am going to put together a book with pictures of each mug so that he can take it with him when we go "junkin".  Some of them are so colorful and tells a little story.  Happy Birthday Hubby! Enjoy!!

Tiny Bubbles

I'm a little behind making New Year Cards but this one with the owl punch from Stampin Up is adorable! The tiny bubbles are little pearls in the sizzix champagne glass.  Look a little closer, they are hard to see.  The card by Stamp with Sandy was my inspiration--very cute! I used a lot of bling for this card crystals, pearls and glitter paper for the background. Great way to start the New Year!

The last of the Christmas cards I made for 2012 are the elves shoes from Sizzix Stampin up Top Note die.  I think the Top Note die is the most used die I have.  I have tried to find the tutorial that I used to make this card but I can't. I just cut out the top note die in red and cut it in fourths.  Then used SU's ornament punch and cut out the top of the shoe to give it the indentation.  Where the tights fit into the shoe I used the oval punch to give it a more "fitted" look.  Added the striped tights, bows, and pom-pom.  So adorable!! You could also had a buckle if you didn't like the bows. Stop back for some ideas for Valentine's Day. Enjoy!!!

A Penguin Thank you

When I saw this card by on Stamp with Sandy website, it was a Christmas card but my Mom likes penguins so I decided to make it a "thank you" card for her. She was very good to us this year for Christmas and I know she will get a kick out of the card.  I added another penguin because there are  4 of us in my family.  The penguins are made from the owl punch by Stampin up.  I sponged the edge of the snow banks with brocade blue ink by Stampin up.  Cute  and quick little card to make especially at this time of year. It gave me a lift!!  Hope the New Year is being good to everyone!!

Happy New Year!!

Starting out the New Year on a decorative note.  My husband and I went "junkin" last weekend in the Arundel/Wells, Maine area and picked up this old window.  It just needed to be sanded a little because it was pretty rough. I am glad we did because the red showed through a little more.

The glass was in great condition so all it needed was a little cleaning up.  I have seen this idea on pinterest so I just added PICTURES!  It's a little hard to see but I put up pictures of my husband, my two children, me and our 2 dogs as babies/puppies.  I love it because I can change it up just like a picture frame!

I wanted to share some Christmas Day pictures of my family at my house.  My mom opening gifts from all of us. Christmas was a beautiful day both outside and in.  Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year!!!

Just one of her many gifts!
