Warmest Holiday Wishes

Last year I was going to try and make one Christmas card a week.  Well, I fell short of that but decided I would try and make the same commitment this year.  So here goes my first card for this year. The background Poinsetta paper is from My Mind's Eye.  The big red bow is from a box of candy that my husband and I got from a friend last Christmas.  I thought it was so pretty I couldn't throw it away so I recycled it on a card!!!  The sentiment is from SU Christmas Cardinal with nestabilities.  The punch art poinsetta is from Spellbinders Bauble Blossoms One and I used by Fanciful Flourishes from Cheery Lynn Designs.  The leaves on the poinsetta are from the SU blossoms punch.  I embossed the sentiment with gold and added a large pearl in the center of the flower.

Now that I have started my Christmas cards, let's see if I can keep it going!  I know it is going to be hard since the weather is beautiful and summer is just around the corner!  I love summer in Maine!!!  Enjoy!

  1. Wow! I love the big red ribbon! It is beautiful! I wish I could commit to one Christmas card a week.... I wouldn't make it!!! I love yours!

  2. You are so smart to start now. I have been trying to do that for years.. Maybe this year... I love how you go "Green" with repurposing the ribbon. It' looks great. I love the flourish, too. Nice beginning.. HOpe you make it.
