Happy 40th Anniversary to us!

December 27, 1980
First of all, I want to wish my husband a Happy 40th Anniversary today.  It has been a difficult month since Thanksgiving.  My daughter, my husband and I have been recovering from Covid.  It has been hard especially for my husband and he is still recovering today.  Each day, though, is better for him.  We are very thankful that we are able to celebrate our 40th Anniversary today!

Needless to say, I didn't get my Christmas cards out this Christmas but I can share what I wanted to send out.  I only was able to get 3 cards done before Covid hit.  It is an inverted center fold card.

Sentiment on the back

Stampin up set of Christmas ornaments are on a sheet of acetate which is in front of the Christmas tree. I hope you can see it in the second picture of the side view. I thought this was a different fold to make, wish I could have gotten them out.  There is always next year!

My sisters and I had a small craft fair in October at my house and one of the items that I made was an advent calendar made from pickets that my husband and I had left over from our fence around the pool. I saw this idea on Pinterest and decided to make it. My neighbor bought it for her children and has posted it on facebook a few times.  As the kids opened the little bags she put her Christmas cards on it.  I think I will make another one this winter.

Loved making this!

This surely has been a year that we will never forget. I want to thank my family and friends for their love and support during this time.  Everyone has been so good to reach out and ask us to deliver food and just anything we needed. Prayers were definitely answered.  Thank you so much!  Here's to a happy and healthy New Year!

Love using this stamp set from Stampin Up! It is a versatile stamp set for birthdays, anniversaries, and just about any celebration if you love flowers and gardens. This is a center fold/easel card for my sister-in-law's birthday which was last week.  The paper collection is Botanical Tea from Graphic 45.  It is a retired paper collection and I still have a few paper left-love love love this collection. Happy Birthday Charlotte!!

Hilarious sentiment

This is for a good friend whose birthday was at the beginning of November.  He loves the water and I thought this diorama card was perfect for him.  The sentiment on the back I found on Pinterest and couldn't resist putting it on his card.  It was perfect!  Happy Birthday Tom!

Turkey Month

Now that Halloween is over, I started making little curvy keepsake turkeys for our Thanksgiving table.  I made a couple extras for friends.  I saw these on Pinterest and thought they were adorable and I haven't used my curvey keepsake die from Stampin up in a while so this was perfect.  The feathers are from Die-namics and the neck and head are punches from Stampin up too.  Don't you just love using the googly eyes!!  The sentiment on the back of the turkey is from Stampin up.  It was fun making them.

Hexagon Explosion Boxes

For Baby Boy

Inside for pics

Baby Girl

Inside for pictures

These explosion boxes are made using a compass which I have not used since geometry class! I will post a link below to make the cover and the base of these boxes.  My daughter wanted one for a boy baby shower that she was invited that is a very good friend.  Her friend used it for a centerpiece!  Since I made the baby boy one for her, I had to make a baby girl one.  Both boxes were made from Echo Park's baby collection.  The center for the inside is a baby crib with a teddy bear inside the crib.  The tutorial below is for 3 layers but, as you can see, I only did 2 layers.

Halloween Caldron Gift Bag

I just love making these caldrons!  There are 2 levels in making these cute bowls/caldrons. The witches legs are a template that I found on Pinterest.  I will put the link to the tutorial below so you can make them.  I did use paper for the handles with ribbon on the paper instead of just ribbon.  It is hard to see but I have a plastic spider that I got at Michael's on the front of the caldron. I hope you give these a try - just love how they came out!

Birthday Stepper Card

Camping

Perfect sentiment

My son's birthday is next week and he is a guy who loves the outdoors especially camping!  These dies from Karen Burniston camping dies were perfect for his card.  The bear die is from Marianne Designs and the bears on the "Happy Birthday to you" sentiment are from Stampin up.  The cute fox on the back of the card is from Karen Burniston also.  I haven't made one of these stepper cards in a very long while, in fact, I think this fold was one of the first fold that I did after a trishutter fold.  This card was easy to pop in an envelope and mail. Happy Birthday Eric!! Your father and I love you!!

Pop out Birthday!

Loving this new die that I purchased a couple of weeks ago from Karen Burniston!  I used Graphic 45's Fairie Dust paper collection because I love the colors!  This card is for my son's girlfriend, Sabrina.  I think I will make a couple more for our craft fair in November which looks like it will be virtual.  Hope we will be able to participate.  Happy Birthday Sabrina!

This was a fun little vase with tulips (from Stampin up's owl punch) to make.  I thought this would be a cute birthday, anniversary or just thinking of you gift for someone.  It's perfect because  you don't have to water it!! Below is the link for the vase-have fun making it!  Thanks for stopping by!

Another theater card as well as another September birthday for a friend's granddaughter.  Chloe loves her cats so I had to make a cat card!  The big cat inside the card is from Elizabeth Craft and the black cats,  I think, are from Memory box.  I did share the link on a prior post when I first started making these style cards so check back a couple of posts back.  Theater cards do have a BIG WOW factor to them! Thanks for stopping by.

The tutorial for this boxed mini album is from Graphic 45 and the link is above.  My sisters and I are hoping to have a craft fair this November.  We have been busy making things but it doesn't look like it is going to happen.  We have made 3 of these boxed mini albums.  They measure 7 inches in length, 5 inches in height and 5 1/2 deep.  The outside of the mini album is  made of chipboard and the inside is heavy cardstock.  This one is a wedding album which would look great on a coffee table.  This makes such a great gift!  Enjoy!

Birthday Boy!

Fishing birthday card

Tunnel card

Under the fishing boat

September birthdays are coming so I have started making the cards because like August,  September is a big month for birthdays too.  Tanner's lives in Florida so I had to get his in the mail. He loves fishing so I thought this would be a great card for him.  "Hope all your birthday fishes come true", is the sentiment for his card.  Tunnel cards are fun to make and I haven't made this type of card for him.  I also just got these fish stamps from ebay which is a Stampin up stamp set. Happiest of birthdays Tanner!

Ocean Block cards

Folds into envelope too!

Sentiment on the back

These types of block cards are so easy to make.  I found this type on Pinterest and I will leave the link below for the measurements and directions.  I am giving these cards to the birthday girls because I put REAL shells (from Cocoa Beach in Florida) on the front and didn't want them to break by mailing them.  But it is easy to fold them up and mail them depending on your embellishments.  Ocean Blue by Graphic 45 is so beautiful!  I have made so many projects with this collection.  Thanks for stopping by! Give this style of card a try!!

More August Birthdays

Bridge Card
Another birthday card for an August birthday!  The bridge card is a fun way to showcase the ocean.  Love using these little fishes.  The paper is from another favorite of mine, Graphic 45's Ocean Blue.

Here is the back of the bridge card with a perfect sentiment for the card.   Now that summer is winding down, the ocean theme is going to give away to autumn with falling leaves.  I hate to see summer go but I do love the fall!

Rainbow & Unicorns

This Accordion card is for a little girl who loves Unicorns and Rainbows!  She is so adorable and she loved this card.  I love looking for sayings to go with this card.  It just made me happy to make this for Julia!  Happy Birthday Julia!

August Birthdays

This is a quick post which will be mostly pictures. This was a fun card to make.  A record player is a thing of the past but vinyl is making a big comeback. Love the sentiments that go with this card.  I made them for a couple of great guys birthdays.  I also love using my music dies!
