Thinking of you!

This trifold angular card is just a simple card to make for a "thinking of you" card for a friend who has lost her partner. Love this style because it has lots of room for a sentiment and decorating. On this card, I wanted the design paper to do the work. I have made several card with this paper collection from Graphic 45's - Blossom.
A fun weekend getting together with friends from elementary and high school! So lucky to have them in my life!

Summer Birthday!

This is just a short post to show this fun fold card. This is the first time I have made this one. This birthday card for my brother in law is called Up Down Up Fun Fold! If you put this in the search on youtube, there will be a couple of videos to show you how to put it together. The finished card measures 4 1/4x 5 1/2. The paper collection is from Graphic 45 called Woodland Friends. Basically there are 2 base sections, one measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and the second one measures 3x 10 1/2.
There is plenty of room for your sentiment which is something that I am always looking for in a card. I hope you have fun making this one!

Last Day of School!

Today is the last day of school at Waterboro Elementary School and a retirement day for a teacher that my husband hired when he was principal there. Margo is the sister of my sister-in-law and, most importantly, a great teacher. She also is a special caring person. Her students were lucky to have her as a teacher. I made this retirement/gift card for her and I have a couple more since making this one. The paper collection is Fairie Dust from Graphic 45. When making this, it uses a 12x12 sheet of cardstock but if you want to make a pocket some additional cardstock for the pocket. Check out the pictures below:
I put the pocket on the flap that folds out but you can put a pocket on the middle section. I wanted it to close easily so I put it on the lower flap.
I used a ribbon to close the side flaps but you really don't have to do this. Another reason I love this, there is plenty of room to put sentiments and even used the back of the card. This was really a fun card to make! Happy Retirement Margo!! It is well deserved!

Happy Anniversary Card!

My sister and her husband had their 9th Anniversary yesterday and I made this card for them. It is called a balconey card and I used one of my favorite paper collections, Graphic 45 Blossom! It is gorgeous! The colors are just perfect! The stamp set is from Stampin up and is called Grace's Garden and dies. I am always looking for different style cards and making sure there is enough room for a sentiment. This one also folds up great for mailing. Here are some more pictures with a side and back views.
Again Happy Anniversary Adrianne & Lenny! Can't believe it has been 9 years! Love you both!

Alaskan Cruise 2024

On May 17th we left for a trip on the Holland Cruise Line for Alaska ports of Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay and Ketchikan. It was everything that we heard from friends that it was amazing and it was! We left on the 18th out of Vancouver (which itself is an amazing city). I am going to make a scrapbook for my husband's sister and brother on this great trip. Mark's brother, Sandy, did an wonderful job arranging the cruise. He got us the best cabins with a balconey located on the back of the ship which is called the "Aft"! So a BIG THANK YOU SANDY! Enjoy the pictures of the ports and shenanigans.
Boarding the Holland America! We are ready!
Juneau was a little misty but not too bad. We did hear that Alaska can be rainy this time of year but we were prepared.
Skagway was a beautiful port and the weather cooperated too! Gorgeous day to walk around and we even took a train up the mountain to the summit! It was about 2 hours long and we saw some wonderful sites!
Glacier Bay and dressy night on the ship!
Ketchikan was very rainy but we were able to walk around and do some shopping and try their Alaskan King Crab! We had some fun with orange night in the Dining Room too!
Back to Vancouver and then Mark and I headed to San Francisco/Crockett California to visit our son and his wife for a few days. The weather in Crockett was beautiful and their view is spectacular is terrific!
Lastly, a barbecue at their friend's house in San Francisco to celebrate Memorial day! It was a true barbecue with ribs, chicken wings and shrimp! Brian, you are an amazing griller! Thank you!
