Disney Christmas Trip

Mark with the winner!
Christmas tree at Saratoga!
My husband, Mark and I with our friends, Cindy and Dave headed to DisneyWorld last week and stayed at Saratoga Springs!  Cindy and Dave are Disney Vacation Club Members and we had a fantastic time. The weather was great.  The first night it was a little damp with some sprinkles but perfect for the parks.  I was happy because I could wear my flip flops and capris.  The temperature ranged from mid 60's to 80 degrees, most of the time it was in the mid 70's.  We arrived on Thursday and headed to Disney Springs (Downtown Disney) and ate at T-Rex.  Friday, we went to Magic Kingdom, and then Saturday was Animal Kingdom, Sunday was Hollywood Studios and the last day was Epcot!

Pretty Poinsetta Tree!
One of our favorite rides at the Magic Kingdom was Thunder Mountain.  We just love the roller coasters and then we headed to the Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise.  Magic Kingdom was beautifully decorated for Christmas!  I think it was the decorated the best of all the Parks.

I couldn't stop taking pictures of Christmas Trees!  Everywhere you turn there was a tree or decoration to take a picture.  When we were at Epcot we weren't able to get a seat but we were able to hear Whoopi Goldberg narrate the story of Jesus' birth.  It was a fun, fun trip!  One that my husband and I will remember.

Have a Magical Day!

I wanted to share a few pictures of our Disney vacation last week!  My sisters and their husbands and a very good friend (sister) and her husband all went to DisneyWorld last week and we were lucky to get in and out of Maine inbetween snowstorms!  It has been quite a winter in the Northeast getting so far a total of 6 feet of snow mostly in the month of Jan and Feb!  In all their were 8 of us and one of the Disney workers were so nice to take a picture of all of us.
Here are the husbands!

Our first day we went to Downtown Disney! Our second day we  headed to Magic Kingdom!  Magic Kingdom has added and changed so much since I was there for the first time in 1979!  Recently they have added the Snow White and 7 Dwarfs ride!  Love it!  We ate lunch in the castle of Beauty and the Beast! The inside of the castle was amazing! I took a lot of pictures which I wish I could share with you but you will have to go yourself!!

Fun ride!

Inside the castle!
We went on many other rides such as Thunder Mountain,  Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Carribean, and saw the Hall of Presidents!  The afternoon parade was awesome!  We saw Wishes that night as well as the Electrical Light Parade!  The next day we all went to Epcot, then Animal Kingdom and the last day we went to Hollywood Studios!  Some of us had some trouble with knees and we were popping our ibuprofen in the morning before we left in the morning but we were all troopers getting to do just what we wanted.  Everytime I go I do something that I haven't done.  One of all of ours favorite rides is Soarin'!  We were able to get right on it and did it a second time!  Love, love, love it!  We have heard a rumor that they are going to add more theaters and maybe even change the movie to the East coast!!
Favorite ride at Hollywood Studios!
Perfect sign!
We certainly had a Magical vacation and thanks to family and friends for making it the best!!

Christmas 2007 Disney Album

I have been working most of the summer doing this Disney album.  I have pictures from 2007 Christmas with my family--mom, dad, sisters, husbands, nieces and nephews as well as my son and daughter when we celebrated Christmas at Disney.  It was a blast!! I have made a couple of mini albums but this one was the one I couldn't wait to make!!  There is a great tutorial from my sisters' scrapper and it is called a vertical TP mini album. She uses paper bags  to make the pages.  There are about 4 or 5 parts to it but she explains it beautifully!  Check it out!  I used paper that I purchased at a convention this spring that was designed with Disney in mind and added Graphic 45 and Bo Bunny paper.  A new thing of mine which I do with my sisters are chunky charms and you can put these on the side of the album.  Getting into the jewelry making a little bit--a lot of fun to do!!  Check out my pictures below for the inside of the album.
Inside the cover!
Lots of places for pictures!
Hi Donald!
Places to put tags and small booklets with pictures!
Opens up with more and more pictures!
Love the waterfall feature in the back of the book!
Great place for themed pictures!
My chunky charm on the side of the book!
One last thing to point out where you see Mickey's ears at the top of the pages is actually a big tag to put more pictures.  Just pull the ears and a tag comes out!  So clever!!  There are so many places for pictures --it is a great idea especially to give as a gift!  Had a lot of fun making this and can't wait to get started on another one!  Making a smaller mini album for my son for his upcoming 30th birthday!  Thanks for looking!!
