April Showers!

The weather here in Maine for the month of April has been great one day and then cold/snowy the next. We have had 2 snow events, meaning 3-4 inches of snow, and then the next day the snow is practically gone. It has really been a see-saw range in temperature. Because of the weather, I have been doing a lot of finishing up some projects that I started back in December such as the snowmen in the picture above. I had to try a block snowman and a tin can snowman. Which one is your favorite?

I have also finished up my birthday cards for  April. My good friend, Anna, had a birthday last week and she is in Disney this week with her whole family so I had to do a Disney themed birthday card.

This is a milestone year for a number of friends of mine so you will be seeing a lot of Happy 70th Birthday cards. This is a 5x7 book-style card. This style card is great for using photos in the card.  Happy Birthday Anna!

Today is my sister's wedding anniversary so I wanted to share this anniversary card for Phillis & Cary!

Lastly,  I made this 4-photo framed display for my daughter. Her pup, Ollie, is so photogenic I had to do this for her. I saw this idea on Pinterest and had to do it. I'm calling it "A Dog for All Seasons".  He is so lovable and has such a great personality.  Love you, Ollie!

Happy St Patrick's Day!

We had a fun night celebrating St Patrick's Day last night. I made this little sign with my Cricut which I think came out cute! Here is the centerpiece that I made for the table.

The favors are little leprechauns that I made using punches. I saw a bunch of them on Pinterest and was inspired by them.

And we always have to have a group photo! Our full Irish guy wasn't able to make it and he was definitely missed. I think Donald (guy on the left) won the prize for best St Patrick's day outfit!

Christmas Cards Done!

Here are my Christmas Cards for this year! I used the Stampin up "Santa's Sleigh" and the paper is from Graphic 45 and Echo Park. All the paper collections that I used are just so pretty. How can you go wrong with red and green? Here are a couple close up pictures of my Christmas card.
Love the glitter paper for the sleigh with rose, gold and silver paper. Just a Christmas vignette that I made this past week which was inspired by a project I saw on Pinterest. I had all the items I already had so it was good to use up some of the stuff from my stash to create this. The letters were created with my Cricut using red vinyl. To make it more festive, I think I might add some snow but I haven't decided yet.

Cards & A Fun Project!

My first card for the new year. My niece had her first baby at the beginning of January, a Baby Boy! Here is an accordian screen card with pictures for her Welcome Baby card! The paper collection is from Echo Park. He is so adorable!
Today is a good friend from high school's birthday! This is my first Double Panel Step card. This card opens like a vertically. Love how it folds up and mails easily in an envelope. I used the Fairie Wings paper collection from Graphic 45 for the card. Happy Birthday Betti! I put the sentiment on the back where there is plenty of room for it. Here is the tutorial for it.
Here is the second Double panel step birthday card that I made which is for a student of my husband's who happens to have her birthday on the same day as my husband and she has given him a birthday every year since she has been at the elementary school that Mark worked. She is such a sweetheart and now she has a family of her own. This card opens like a book style. The tradition continues...
Lastly just wanted to show a project that I made for my bay window. It has been a crazy January in the Northeast with warming temperatures and terrible destruction on the coast and now it is cold, cold cold! We just had 4 inches of snow. I am happy that we had snow instead of rain! This is making me think of spring and summer! A floral beachy arrangment to make you think spring and summer! Thanks for checking in!!

Spring is here!

My sisters and I have been busy getting ready for a craft fair at the end of April at USM (University of Southern Maine in Gorham) and also trying to do some more items for Easter at our area at Cole's Corner in Wells. Here are some Easter items above and below. I love the wreath for someone's door. The cute chicks are made with pom pom maker!
Love making these flower filled envelope/cards for Mother's Day. These are headed to the craft fair. They are made with the We R Memory Keepers envelope punch board. I think I may make another one with a yellow color theme. They can be used for any occasion. Birthdays would be perfect too!

March Birthdays

This style card, Multi Diamond Panel, is a new one for me. I have made 3 of them with the same paper collection from Kaisercraft. Here is the tutorial from Mixed Up Craft with Sam Calcott, Here are the other cards I made with the same collection for March Birthdays.
Sisters' Designs have been accepted to the University of Southern Maine in Gorham for their spring craft fair at the end of April. Here are a few items that I have been working on for the fair. Spring is in the air!
This is a can that I crushed on the end and then wrapped with dropcloth material and decorated. I think I will keep this one. There have been a lot of these cans done on Pinterest so keep your tin cans!!

More Birthday Cards & Projects

This is a new style card for me to make with cupcakes and candles for a 6-year old girl's birthday card! This is called a Center Pop up Step Card by Iced Images. I have made many cards from her tutorials and she does a wonderful job explaining it all. Here is her link to this style card at
This is another February birthday card I made for my daughter's friend, Nelson. It is a step card with the theme of camping/hiking which is his favorite thing to do!
Happy Birthday to Emily and Nelson! I have started making some Easter projects for our booth in Wells, Maine.
Love making these signs for the front door. Whether it says "hello" or "welcome", they are fun to make. This one is a wooden circle that has been painted and added flowers, ribbon and wooden "hello" word with a bird mould from IOD.
I have quite a few corks and thought it would be fun to make an Easter display/bowl (like I did for Valentine's day, see previous post) with the corks that I had left. Added a bunny that I had in my stash and decorated a wooden Easter egg that I have too. I thought it came out pretty cute. This is a great alternative to an Easter basket, right? I am still working on some more projects both wall signs and Easter centerpieces! Check back in a few days to see what I have completed. Thanks for stopping by!

February Birthdays!

Love these pop up double tier cards especially for birthdays, and I love adding a photo! I made 2 of these for a friend's husband and my brother in law who's birthday is at the end of the month. Both of them, have a love affair with their cars! Below is the picture that I made for my brother-in-law. Did I mention that he is turning 70? Happy Birthday Tom & Sandy!
My sisters and I have changed up our booth at Cole's Corner in Wells, Maine and below are some pictures. We have added some of our crafts for Valentine's day which is a week from today!
Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!
