End of July Birthdays

This style card is a pop out middle panel card. It is all about scoring. Love how it turned out with Graphic 45's Couture paper collection. Happy Birthday Adrianne!

Another beautiful Graphic 45 paper collection called Typography which might be retired at this point. It's another birthday card which is a variation of the tri-shutter card. Love the accordion in the middle of the card. This style card closes up perfectly to mail it. Happy Birthday Joni!

Lastly, the flying seagull card. It is fun how the center panel pops out when the card opens. Another Graphic 45's paper collection called Ocean Blue  which I have used so much for cards.  Such a fun style card to make and I think it has a "Wow" factor to it. Happy Birthday Mary!

Three different style cards which can be found on youtube with their tutorials. Thank you for stopping by and checking out these cards.

End of August Birthday!

A Birthday Card for my sister, Andrea. Her birthday was last week and I used Tim Holtz barrel die with his flowers. Her daughter's birthday is the same day so they get to celebrate together. Such a special celebration for both of them every year! Happy Birthday Andrea! I'm obsessed with the book folding technique. Here is the hedgehog version. Love that I had this little hat for him! He is adorable!

Eclipse Day

Today is eclipse day and my husband and I were lucky to get the eclipse glasses from a neighbor who was so generous in letting us have the extra pair of glasses that they had. It was a beautiful sight to see. Thank you so much Meyer family! We are leaving tomorrow for Denmark so I wanted to share a couple of wooden cigar boxes that I have been working on for the past couple of weeks. The first one is from Graphic 45's Couture paper collection. It is a gorgeous collection
The inside of the box I made a pocket and put a card in it so it can be given as a gift if so desired to do so. For the second cigar box I used Graphic 45's Enchanted Forest another beautiful collection. I also made a pocket inside the box but haven't made the card yet but will do so for the same reason. I need to give a shout out to my brother-in-law for saving these cigar boxes for my sisters and I to decorate and sell. Thank you so much Lenny!!

Happy Halloween!

My husband and I decorated this wishing well in the front of our house for our "Trick or Treaters" to enjoy tonight! We have a spotlight on this little scene. Our next door neighbors have a cementery in their little garden out in front of their house. Our neighborhood is having fun with Halloween! Here is the treats for tonights little goblins. Love decorating these little boxes for Halloween. We don't have a lot of kids but enough to keep me busy for the past week.Happy Halloween everyone!

Celebrations Continue

I have a few cards that I made for the end of August celebrations. This first one is a beer card that I found on Cricut Access. Beer cards are always a good masculine card to make. The stamp set is from Stampin up.
I found these "sayings" on Pinterest for the inside of the card. Love doing research on Pinterest! LOL!
Happy Birthday Andrea! First time I have made a tower card and it was from Iced Images. I did add the flap on the back so that I could have a longer sentiment. You can see it better in the picture below. The paper collection is Graphic 45.
My last card that I made for August is an anniversary card for a dear, dear friend. It is her First Anniversary and I used the embossing resist technique with some sponging. Of course, I did a beach/nautical scene which is her favorite place to be! Love you Mary & Tom!

Summer is here!

I have started some fun projects for our Etsy store. This one is a wooden cigar box and I used Graphic 45's Lady's Diary paper collection. I added some lace and a pocket inside the box.
The box measures about 9x8 and it is on our Etsy shop. It came out beautifully!
Here is a washboard that I purchased at Brimfield and then painted. I added some floral and modge podged the sign at the top. Perfect for the Laundry Room. I can say that because I have one that I made in my Laundry Room! LOL!
My third project is a metal pocket with metal handles that I painted and put floral transfers on it. I love how it came out. Added some artifical flowers that really "pops"! IOD transfers are the best! Easy to easy and they are so beautiful! Check out Cooksistersdesigns on Etsy.com. If there is anything you like just check out our shop! Birthday Cards & Projects

These 2 cards are for very good friends birthday which is this Thursday. They are twins and, believe me, it is easier to make the same card but I didn't do that because they are twins. We have been friends since the age of 9. Flowers and bees are summertime themes for birthday cards which is what I did here. The flower card is a double Z fold and the bee card is made with Tim Holtz stencil and paste to make the hive. My sisters and I are getting ready for a craft fair that we are doing in Kennebunk on August 14th. Here are a few projects that I have finished this week.
I might have showed these "Welcome" & "Hello" signs before but I love making them with pizza tins from the Dollar Store! Enjoy your day!

April Anniversary

Love this style card and Graphic 45's Love Notes! This tuxedo/card in a box card was fun to make. My sister and her husband's anniversary is coming up next week so I made this for them. Happy Anniversary the Burcham's!
I found this style card on Pinterest and it is called a Bay Window card. I loved making it because you have a lot of places to put your sentiment or just decorate like crazy. I started making the nautical one and couldn't stop! The best part is that it folds flat for easy mailing. Love it. Check out more pictures below for the inside and out.
