Father's Day Trophy
This is not my first project since I got a Cricut for Christmas but it is my first 3D project that I put together with a little help from my sisters. It was fun to do! I am saving this, as you can see, for Father's Day. The project is from SVG on Etsy. I changed it up a little bit with some ribbon and an extra band around the base of the trophy. It won't be long before Father's Day will be here so I am ready!!!
I have been working on a few cards for June and July birthdays and anniversaries so I will share them on my next post in June. Come on back!

We also had the nicest neighbors too! One lady was selling handmade dog collars which were unique and so cute and the other lady makes customized bracelets, just beautiful!! It was so much fun!! Thank you to all that came out to our first fair! We sold cards for Mother and Father's day! In fact, one lady said it is the first time she bought a Father's Day card this early!! Hilarious!! Father's Day Pop up!
Here is one of the cards that I made for my husband for Father's Day this past weekend. I used the beautiful Graphic 45 By the Sea collection. It is such a gorgeous collection from Graphic 45!
My husband went to San Francisco this past April to help our son buy his first vehicle. When he was there, he went sailing in the San Francisco Bay and sailed under the Golden Gate Bridge! He can check that off his bucket list now. The sentiment says, "Out of all the fish in the sea, I am lucky to have you as my husband!". I used that picture for this card along with dies from Marianne Creatables, Die-namics and sizzix. The fish and crab were MS punches. The wave border punch was from EK punches. I found this type of card on Pinterest and have gone back and can't find where I pinned it. The instructions for it are really easy, see below.
For the base, cut 5x10 and score on the long side at 5 inches. Then cut 2 - 5x5 and score every 1 inch (which will be 4 times) and then put together to make a box. Cut 1- 5x2 and 1- 5x3 1/2. Then just assemble as shown with the 5x2 cardstock in the front. Decorate as desired. Gonna make another one of these- love it!

I had already made this card for my husband before I made the one above so I decided to give him both! Why not! Again, I saw a similar card like this on Pinterest which inspired me to make this one. Punch art is so fun to do and the bumble bee is adorable!! This could be a birthday card or even a Valentine's Day card--just add some hearts!!

Colorful Bowties
Just a quick card today. This is another Father's Day card that I saw on pinterest but I didn't have the pennant punch so I used the SU butterfly punch. What do you think? I used the circles cuttlebug embossing folder for the background and the 1/2 inch round punch for the middle of the bowtie. I thought this was cute for a dad who wears bowties. Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers to Father's Day
Here is a cute card that I saw on Pinterest and wanted to make it for my husband. He loves a "cold one in the summer". I always find it amazing the different things that you can make with punches. The beer mug is measured approximately 3 1/2 x 3 inches and the bottom corners are curved with a corner punch. Nestabilities circles were used for the handle. The "bubbles" are 1 1/4, and 1 inch punches from SU. I also used the flower punch from SU. Ranger's "Wild Honey" ink was used for the 3/4 inch strips and for the bubbles. The banner from Spellbinders was inked with Ranger's "Forest Moss" and then clear Rock Candy from Ranger. I love the shimmer that the Rock Candy gives to a project.
Happy Father's Day to all fathers today including my wonderful husband!! He is a great father, husband and especially friend! On a personal note, my husband reminds me of my own father who was a terrific dad. My dad has been gone now 1 1/2 years and I miss him everyday. Love you Dad!!
