Birthday Party for Cindy!

Donald Duck Bank
How fun is it to celebrate a friend's birthday! Cindy is a Disney Lover and her favorite character is Donald!  On one of my sister's flea market trips, they found a Donald Duck bank.  So cute! The top of her cake is also a small Donald, check out the picture below. Chris made and decorated the cake which I think is the new obsession.  Connie brought the toss salad.

Since I am recovering from surgery, my husband has been doing all the housecleaning and he even did all the cooking for the evening.  I found a recipe on Pinterest and he did all the cooking. It was a perfect evening to celebrate and even the weather cooperated. Happy Birthday Cindy!

Valentine Rose

This cascading fold card is a new one for me!  Love this fold!  My sister, Chris, showed me how to do this fold and she has made about 4 or 5 of them.  Check out her blog at callalilystudioblog.blogspot.com for more cards and instructions.  The big red rose is from valita's blog.  She uses the SU owl punch. The vine that the rose is on is from spellbinders and I added a toothpick to the back of it to give it some strength.  The white envelope is from sizzix and I just put the sentiment in the envelope from SU "Love Always" set. The front of the card is nestabilities heart with Cheery Lynn Designs "Fanciful flourish".  I have additional pictures below to show you the sentiment on the back and the sides of the card.  I have added more hearts and Memory Box outline of hearts. My husband has been so great; this card is for him for sure! This is a great card for looking harder than it really is!   Have fun!

A Fun Saturday!

Love this place!

Classes
Last Saturday was a fun day for sure!  My sisters and their husbands as well as me and my husband all headed to some of our favorite places.  First stop, Stamped Designs in Dover, NH.  We love this place.  Jeannette has everything and more!  Our new favorite is the Memory Box dies.
Next up, was a cute vintage, antique store in Dover called "Just the Thing".  I found a huge breadboard.  I am going to find something special to do with this.  My husband wasn't as optimistic.  Chris found a "Moxie" sign for her husband for only $10!!   We all had lunch at Warren's and then onto Route 1 and headed north.  Stopped at Bo-mar's, and couple more antique shops.  I think the best find of the day was by Russ, a sculpture of Mickey on a tree trunk --so cool!   Connie and Russ have quite a Mickey collection!!  There was so many memories of stuff that we had growing up, incredible!  I saw an old scale that looked just like the one that my grandfather had in his store when we used to weigh cheese, and hamburg.  We will return another day for sure!

Fun looking!
