Merry Christmas!

Our Christmas Tree!
Look who was watching while I was decorating!

Wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! We have been busy cleaning and painting  my daughter's new condo and moving her into it this past week but still was able to get out yesterday and do some Christmas shopping and a little baking today! It has been a busy, busy Christmas season! I did make a Christmas ornament for my daughter's friend son,  Mason!  He is only 2 years old and he needed his first Christmas ornament with his name on it.  Merry Christmas Mason!

Christmas Cards have all been sent!

Front of the Christmas card!
Christmas cards have all been sent but I still have some Christmas shopping to do!!!  I wanted to use my new Christmas die which is so beautiful especially when I used silver cardstock.  I love it!

O Holy Night!
This was an accordion card because I wanted to  show what Christmas is all about!  I made 35 cards this year for friends and family!  Stampin up's stamp set called Night of Bethlehem used for the middle section of the Christmas card. The paper collection is also from Stampin up and Authenique which was perfect for a Christmas card!

I get tired of making the same card so below is another style Christmas card that I made for some on my Christmas card list.  This is a Z fold card which is fun to make and show off my Santa shaker card in his belly!!  So funny!

Santa Shaker card!
Below are some pictures of plastic ball ornaments with a snowflake inside the ornament with some snow!!  Love this!  I think I will make some more of them.  I made them with silver cardstock and glittered blue cardstock!  This is perfect for anyone's Christmas tree!!

Perpetual Calendar

Sunday, Jan 23rd

I have seen a few of these perpetual calendars on Pinterest but they are small.  This one I made is 10 inches tall at the tallest point and 6 1/2 inches wide.  The blocks 2 1/2 inches square. I added feet to the calendar like I did with the cubed advent calendar that I made for our craft fair last month. In the front there is a draw for little notes, etc  The paper collection is Graphic 45 Imagine--so pretty!! I am going to add more embellishments but the paper is so pretty that I may not have to add anything. The cards for the months measure 6 1/2 x 5 1/4 inches and the cards for the week measure 5 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches.

I am definitely going to make another one.  These might be fun to have at a craft fair in the spring!  My sister's and I are still working on trying to find a craft fair for the spring!

Graphic 45's paper collection called "12 Days of Christmas" is so beautiful!  I made this lighted frame last week for me!  The title page is so gorgeous I needed to frame it and added some red lights! Check out the pictures below lighted and not lighted--both beautiful! I need to work on my Christmas cards now!  I'll show you them as soon as I finish them.  Happy December!

Successful Christmas Craft Fairs

Here is our set up from the Windham/Raymond Christmas Fair that was at this past weekend at the Windham High School in Windham, Maine.  We also did the Italian Heritage Center's Christmas Fair in Portland, Maine the weekend before so we have been very busy.  We had so much fun, meeting new people who were so kind with all the nice comments.  My sisters and I thank each and everyone of you that turned out for both fairs!  We did very well and enjoy every minute of it.  My sisters and I are already thinking about next year and some projects that we want to do.  We have a few special orders that we need to complete in the next week so we are still busy making things.  My next project is making my Christmas cards for family and friends!  Again thank you to the volunteers and customers that we met at each fair!  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Halloween Preparations!

Last week my sisters and I had a craft day and made these loaded envelopes for Halloween!  I made this one for my daughter. I used Graphic 45 Eerie Tale paper collection.  Lots of tags and candy can fit into these envelopes.  Love making them so I made 2 more for a friend's grandchildren.  This paper collection is so beautiful- I love purple, black, and orange together!

For Emily and Chloe!
I found some dream catchers at Michael's in New Jersey when we were down there last weekend on sale!! Perfect!  They look like a spider web so I added a spider ring (which I know it is hard to see). The rosettes were cute with fun ghosts on them.

These two boxes are pre-made so I just decorated them for the neighborhood girls.  They love crafting so I thought I would give these to them.  They are actually the only 2 trick or treaters in our neighborhood now.  I filled it with candy but also witches fingers, bubble liquid, dracula teeth so they don't just get candy.  Trick or Treat!

October Festivities

Spiders for Halloween
These spiders made with toilet paper rolls are so adorable!  Made them with our neighbors two little girls and with another two little girls during a reception at a wedding this past week.  Just a side note, the wedding this past weekend was so beautiful! Location was at the top of a mountain and the foliage was spectacular, not to mention the bride and groom!  These spiders were so fun to make, if you don't put candy in them they stand up but with the weight of the candy they fall to the table.  In the picture above, the 3 spiders in the back have candy and the 2 in the front do not.  One of the girls put a handle on the one in the front which made it fun!

Pop out card below is for a friend's birthday tomorrow.  Usually I make a card like this with flowers coming out of a vase but why not bottles in a crate for a masculine card.  Happy Birthday Donald!

October is here!

Coasters
My son's birthday is this month and I wanted to make him some coasters for his new apartment with pictures that I have taken this past summer from the coast of Maine. They came out great! They are in the mail and he should get them tomorrow!  Clockwise the pictures are Portland Head Light, Pemaquid Lighthouse, Five Islands and the 4th coaster is also Five Islands. ( I think the seagull wanted to join us for lunch that day)

Eric's birthday card

I did a diorama with acetate and kept with the lighthouse theme for a birthday card.  I used a combination of SU stamps and dies with graphic 45 paper.  I can't believe my son will be 36 years old next week.

Lighted Frame
Another project that I just finished the other day, is this sleigh with presents.  I just added some glitter paper. sentiment  and, of course,  lights! How fun is this! This is just a sample of the lighted frames that my sisters and I will be selling at our craft fair next month.  Below are a few pictures of our set for the craft fairs.  We will be at the Italian Heritage Center on Saturday November 2nd and Windham High School on Saturday, November 9th and Sunday, November 10th.  We are ready!!!  I'm sure you will find a gift for a loved one!!

Oscar in the window!

Can you see a doggie in the window?

Sentiment for Sabrina!
My daughter and I just got back from San Francisco, where my son and his girlfriend live, to help my son with his injury that he had in July.  He is doing well but the injury, Achille's tear, is hard when you get do what you want to do.  We had a good time taking care of Oscar each day!  My son's girlfriend, Sabrina, has a birthday coming up so we had to make a card showing Oscar in the window when Eric and Sabrina come home.  Hope she gets a kick out of it!  Happy, happy birthday Sabrina!

I made this card for a bridal shower that I went to last weekend. Jennifer is bride-to-be and her groom is the son of a very good friend of mine. I have been making lanterns for their wedding which is October 4th. My sisters and my sister in law helped make them along with Jen and her maid of honor.  This card I have seen on Pinterest but I did a smaller version of it.  I was surprised to get to the shower and the colors that I used for the card were the same colors that her bridesmaids  used to decorate for the shower.  It is a rose colored shimmer cardstock from Stampin up as well as the dies that I used.
Lights off!

Lights on!
We made 24 of them for the tables at the reception. We loved how they came out! It is an evening wedding so these will be perfect!  The die we used is from Spellbinders and boy, did those dies get a workout!  Hoping that Jennifer and David have a wonderful wedding!!

Butterflies are free!

Happy September! I had the designer paper series from Stampin up with butterflies on it that I thought was so pretty and since summer is almost over I thought there was no time like the present to use it for another birthday card.  Lately, I have been seeing more butterflies around our house than I did the whole summer! So how perfect for an early September birthday card. The butterfly dies are from Stampin up and Martha Stewart punches. The paper from the base of the card is from Graphic 45.  Happy Birthday Carlene!

Dinosaur Diorama

Tanner's Birthday Card

I love making kids cards especially for the younger ones because they appreciate them so much!  How cute is this punch art dinosaur?  I found it on Pinterest and used a lot of my Stampin up punches and Spellbinders-nestabilities dies. After I mailed the card, I thought I should have used googly eyes on the dinosaur.  Diorama cards are so perfect for showing a fun scene!

I don't think I have shown you this Kimekomi that my sisters and I are making for our craft fairs that we are having in November.  I love working with fabric since I have made many quilts and this just fits the bill for me.  Pinterest has so many of these and are so beautiful!  Pictured below are other ones that Chris and Connie have made.  We are just about ready for the Craft Fairs, still have a little more to do but we are on track for November 2nd at the Italian Heritage Center in Portland Maine and November 9th and 10th at Windham High School, Windham Maine.

Love these!

More August Birthdays!

Birthday Wiper

Back of Wiper Cards
Here are some Wiper Cards that I made for my brother in law, Tom and my sister, Andrea's birthdays.  It is fun to see how this card works when you pull from both sides and an image pops up! Here is the link to make the wiper cards!  Happy Birthday Tom and Andrea!

Birthday Z Fold

The back!
I have made this Z fold golf card before for a family member who loves golfing but wanted to do it for a friend who turned 70 last month and actually works for a golf course in the winter in Florida.  Our friends also celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary and I made them a Golden Anniversary card to celebrate!  Happy 50th Anniversary Elas!

My last card for August Birthdays is another Card in the box with a unicorn!  All little girls love unicorns with rainbows.  I used my new castle die from Elizabeth Craft and my new stamp set from SU that has the sentiment "Hope your day is magical!"  The rainbow die is also from Stampin up. The paper collection I used is from Graphic 45.  Happy Birthday Julia!

Back of the card
I hate to say it but summer is almost over and school is starting up soon around here. September is just around the corner and I have many cards to do for friends and family.  So I better get busy!!
