Thinking Spring!

This is a cute picnic basket that I saw on Pinterest and had to make it!  The paper is from Anna Griffin's collection and is so pretty.  It makes a pretty picnic basket.  I love purple! I'm going to add some pretty flowers to the sides of the handle.  Below are some more pictures from different angles. It is a good size basket measuring 7 inches long, 4 inches wide and 2 inches deep.  It will hold a lot  of stuff.

Here is the tutorial to make this cute basket.  https://www.pinterest.com/pin/34832597107599654/
I made this basket the week before my husband, daughter and I left for Palm Springs.  Here are a few pictures of our trip. Everyday was in the 70's and our last 2 days did hit 80.  We took the tram up to Mount San Jacinto, visited Joshua Tree National Park and went up to Coachella Valley Vista Point for a view of Palm Springs area.  At Joshua Tree we saw part of the San Andreas fault and the rock formations were spectacular!!  I wouldn't want to be there in the summer, the Visitor's Center said it can reach as much as 124 degrees! Yikes!!!  After staying for a week in Palm Springs, I can see how it is a popular place for vacations in California!!  If you get a chance, go!!! Always glad to get home, though!!

Birthday Double Concertina Card

Birthday Card for Mark

Double Panel
This was a fun card to make. I didn't have the die to make the window so I just measured the opening and used my xacto-knife.  The paper collection is Graphic 45's World's Fair.  My husband's birthday isn't until January 20th and I can't wait to give it to him.  He will be amazed.  I love "Mixed up Crafts" tutorials and she does a wonderful job explaining this.  The link to make this card is below so be sure to check it out.  I put the sentiment on the back of the card but you can always put it on the one of the panels.  If you live in the northeast, stay safe we are headed for another snowstorm tonight.  It sounds like it will be the same as Thursday's storm 4-8 inches depending on  where you are.  We are definitely getting a lot of birds in our feeders with these storms.

Happy 2020!

You're so sweet!

Since Christmas, I have been busy making birthday cards for the new year!  This one is cute one that I found on Pinterest and the tutorial is pretty easy to follow.  It uses the Stampin up Tasty Trucks which is a cute stamp set that I got last year decided to give this one a try.  The paper used is also from Stampin up. There are no dies for this stamp set so I had to fussy cut the truck but it is pretty straight forward.   Below is the back of the card and also the link for this tutorial.

This is a fun card to make but you need to keep your plastic sheets for the mechanism inside this card. I made this for a friend who's birthday is this week and glad I got it in the mail in time.  The tutorial for this card is https://www.pinterest.com/pin/34832597105781853/

Have fun making these two slider cards!  Happy New Year!
