Happy 30th Eric!

My little guy!
I think I always put this picture of Eric when his birthday comes around on my blog but it is my favorite picture of him!  He was celebrating his 3rd birthday in this picture. Tomorrow he will be 30! Where did the time go?  I put more recent pictures of him below but also wanted to share my card that I made for him.  It is a Pop n cut card created by Karen Burniston.  I love the chair and I used faux
Relax
leather paper for the chair.  I can picture Eric sitting there relaxing with his soccer ball and cat.  I hope he gets a "kick" out of it!

I used the spellbinders banner dies and spelled out "Eric Happy Birthday" and on the back of the chair it says "Relax".  I found some paper at Michael's that was a tiger print and used that for the rug.  He and his girlfriend, Lauren have 2 cats but I liked the cat with only one.  The flooring is a sizzix embossing folder which looks like hardwood and just sponged a little chocolate chip ink on it.  The front of the card is a picture of Eric and the bicycle die is from  Memory box which is Eric's mode of transportation mostly in San Francisco!  Throughout the card is little touches of Eric.  This was a lot of fun to make and create.  Happy 30th Birthday Eric!  We miss you here in Maine and love you very much!

Happy October!

I was outside this weekend decorating my wagon wheel for Fall! Here in the Northeast we are having an Indian Summer!  The weather has been fabulous!! Temperatures this past weekend were in the 60's and today and tomorrow are suppose to be in the 70's and may hit 80!  Who says summer is over!  The leaves are starting to change in the southern part of Maine so I used some fake leaves to decorate my wheel but they feel real--does that count!    October is also a birthday month in our family.  My son turns 30 in a couple of weeks.  I wanted to show what I made him!  He lives in San Francisco so I have to get it in the mail in the next couple of days.

Easy to make!
This is called a vertical TP (toilet paper) mini album by mysistersscrapper.  Check out her video for complete instructions.  I have a few of her mini albums and she has great videos to follow.  I used Graphic 45 paper for the album and the little button is from Tim Holtz.

Now this little guy is turning 30!
When you open up the album there are 6 sections to put pictures.  The sections are actually toilet paper holders flattened and then covered with paper.  There are tags inside to journal about the pictures. I put pictures of Eric as he was growing up.  I think he will get a kick out of it!

Side view

This side view shows the sections and you can put pictures on both sides which gives you places for 12 pictures and then on the inside and outside cover which will give you a total of 14 pictures.

The tags fits inside each section so that you can journal about the picture. I had a lot of fun doing this --hope you give it a try.  I made another one which is more feminine which I might save for my daughter.  Have fun!

Love SU flower buttons!
