You Rock 60!

In a couple of weeks my hairdresser turns 60!  Terrific milestone!!  He gets a kick out of my cards so I thought I would make him one.  He loves football, The Patriots, and all kinds of music.  Since I have made football cards in the past I thought I would do a music one.  The guitar is a template and the paper is Graphic 45, I think, Communique.  The music notes are from Memory box.  Easel cards are great for displaying.  Happy 60th Birthday Shawn!

Easter Bunny Card

Loving this type of stair step card! I made this one for a dear, dear friend who is going have surgery next week and was thinking of her.  I know she will do fine but it can be hard when you are in the hospital over a holiday, no matter what holiday it is.  This is the second card that I have made for Easter and I just love making them.  This type of card is my new favorite one.  The paper is so pretty from Bo Bunny which is so appropriate since I decorated the card with bunnies, bunnies, bunnies!!  The bunny die is from Die-namics as well as the Easter basket.  It is hard to see but the Easter basket has embossing lines in it which makes it a more finished look.  The eggs in the basket are actually the balloon punch from Martha Stewart.  The tulips are punch art with the bird punch from SU.  The link to make this card is on my earlier post to this one.  This is Palm Sunday coming up and then next week is Easter!!  Happy Easter everyone!!

Easter Step Card

This is my second Easter card this year which I made for my son.  It is in the mail to him in San Francisco.  Again, I saw this step card on pinterest and click here for the card and directions.  Love the little bunnies from Die-namics.  I used them all over the card. Below are more pictures of the card from different angles.

I didn't want to make the card too girly but couldn't help putting some flowers and ribbon on it.  The paper, I think, is from Authenique or Farm House.  I have had it for a while and the colors are perfect for an Easter/Spring card!

This card closes to a 6x6 size so fits in a bigger envelope but still easy enough to mail.  Happy Easter to everyone and Happy Spring too!

Easter Cross

Today is the first day of spring and, I think, appropriately I should post an Easter card that I made for my Mom!  I saw this card on pinterest here.  So pretty with the gold cross!  The empty cross symbolizing Christ resurrection which we are all thankful.   I made it into a gatefold, easel card.  For the instructions to make it just click here.  Graphic 45 paper just makes the card so pretty!  The cross is from the SU sizzix die and the flowers are SU 5-petal punch. Check out the pictures of the sentiment and the card closed below. It will be Easter before you know it!

I always loved singing this song in church on Easter Sunday! So appropriate for this card!

Sorry that this card is sideways but for some reason couldn't rotate it.  The card is closed with a pretty ribbon and flower from Michael's.  I think I got it in the $1 bin.  Happy Easter!

Beachy Birthday

Friends of mine from my high school graduating class are all turning 60 this year!  So I have been busy making 60 birthday cards for them.  4 of them rent a beach house in Old Orchard Beach every year and another 4 of us always make a point of spending at least a couple of days with them.  We look forward to their "beach week".  They usually have pretty good weather so we are hoping the same for this summer!!!  The cards that I have made so far have been beachy themes.  This one, of course, are sandals which I had a template for them. So this was just fussy cutting them.  Just added a couple of flowers and some bling.  I thought it was adorable!!  Happy 60th Birthday Julia!!

Tying the Knot!

All about the dress!
This past week my sisters, Chris, Connie, Andrea and I made and sent out our baby sister, Adrianne, bridal shower invitations.  When we started the invitations, it seemed like we had plenty of time to plan but time is racing.  We have some surprises for her.   Adrianne & Lenny's wedding is Sunday, June 7th.  Praying that it is a beautiful day weather wise!!

For the invitation we used the dress from SU's framelits collection. The anchor is a Martha Stewart punch.  The paper is from a Cape Cod collection that my sister's had.  Check out the inside of the card below.

Inside invite
Adrianne's theme is nautical with the anchor as her symbol.  We are all so very excited for Adrianne and Lenny!  With Spring coming, April 25th will be here before you know it!  Below is a picture of the happy couple!

Happy St Patrick's Day

Another cute punch art card that I saw on pinterest and had to do it for my son.  I have passed on to him some irish heritage so I thought it was important for him to remember this!  The card that I saw on pinterest is here.  I probably should have made the eyebrows and mustache red but I didn't.

Most of the punches are from Stampin up. Tab and square punches are the hat.  I used the bird punch for the eyebrows, mustache and nose.  The bowtie is from Die-namics and the 4-leaf clover is Martha Stewart's punch.  Next time I make this card I might use googly eyes instead of circle punches.    Happy St Patrick's Day!!

Football Tailgating

Last November my brother, Hal invited my husband, my sister's husband and my other sister's boyfriend to come down to a game with the Giants vs 49ers game in New Jersey. They tailgated prior to the game and the food was unbelievable!!  They had everything!  The game was at 1:00 pm but the guys all left at 8 am in the morning to get a good tailgating spot.  There were 8 guys in all that went and they had a great time even though, the temperature was very chilly for a football game.

For a thankyou for all the work that my brother, Hal and his friend, Dave did.  My sister, Connie and I are making 2 - 8 x 8 scrapbooks for them.  Here are some of the pictures from the scrapbook that I made. The paper that Connie and I are using is Graphic 45 Sports!!  I love it!  So happy that I have a reason to use it. My husband helped me with some of the captions for the pictures!!  Some of the captions are really funny!! This was a fun project that I hope Hal and Dave like.  Thanks guys!!
