Maine Moxie!

My brother's birthday is tomorrow and he loves Moxie!  Love making card in a box cards and this was a perfect style for Moxie bottles!  It is hard to find Moxie out of the State of Maine so when any of my siblings visit my brother in New Jersey--we always bring Moxie to him.   My parents were fans of Moxie but not me.  Happy Birthday Bro!

Happy 50th Birthday!

So this past weekend we had a 50th birthday party poolside for our youngest sister.  First time we have seen her since Christmas!  It was a beautiful day for a celebration!  My sisters and I have been working in our own craft rooms making things for the party.  The  project above folds into a box!  So cool!  It is pictured below to the left with the anchor on top.
The card that I made her is in the back of the picture. It is called a triple block card.  It is so easy to make. I will link the tutorial for it below.  It will fold up so that you can  mail it.  The paper cake in the center of the picture has different survival quotes to cope with turning 50!  My sister made the centerpiece that is on the right which includes candy! Love it!  Here is the link for the Triple Block card

Corks, Corks, Corks!

Cell phone holders
Just yesterday, I finally finished these 3 cell phone holders for friends. I made 2 beach and 1 golf themes. I saw a picture on Pinterest and because I have made other cork items, I thought I would give a cell phone holder a try.  I wanted to make one that could accommodate landscape and portrait views of the phone.  Pictured below are other cork items I have made including a cell phone holder for me!! It is  very handy to have especially in my craft room for viewing. My pictures tell the whole story. Great project when you are quarantined!   FYI, the Christmas Cork Tree is for sale at our craft fair this fall!!

Birthday Theater Cards

This week I watched Sam Calcott from Mixed up Crafts video. She was making these theater/stage cards.  I did throw out the first one I made because the mechanism didn't work smoothly.  The only thing I did different from her video is I only used one strip for the 3D effect.   Sam used 2 strips which she does great.  These cards are ready for mailing and they measure 5x7 which is a perfect size.  I wouldn't want to do it any smaller because it would be hard to see the inside if you want to decorate the outside of the card. Also the aperture of these cards are different. The one on the right is smaller than the one on the left. Both work great!  I used graphic 45 Sun Kissed for the card on the right and the card on the left is from a combination of Authenique and DCWV Beach House. I love making beach theme cards for birthdays in July and August, tis the season!  I have posted more pictures of the inside and back of the card below along with the link to the video from Mixed up Crafts.  Happy Birthday to my good friends who are beach lovers!!
