Sexy Seventy

Here is a flamingo birthday card for a very special friend's birthday who just turned 70! Such a wonderful milestone! This is a Z fold card to show off these fun flamingos. The flamingos are from Elizabeth Craft and the leaves and stamped flowers are from Stampin up. The paper collection is beautiful and it is from Julia Nutting.
Here is one of her birthday gifts. Yes, you guessed it, her name is Cindy! My sister and I got together and made this for Cindy. We had such fun making it especially since we had some great pictures to choose! Cindy is so photogenic! I wish she had a longer name!! LOL! If you can't tell from the pictures she loves Disney, flamingos, Donald Duck and hats! Again, this was such fun to make for her!! Love you Cindy and Happy Birthday!!

Unicorn Pop Up

Last month I purchased Karen Burniston's Itty Bitty Ball pop up die. I am loving all the ideas that you can make with this die. I chose a unicorn for a friend's granddaughter. She turned 5 yesterday and unicorns are so popular this age group. Karen Burniston has a great tutorial on how to put this Itty Bitty ball together. Below are more pictures of the card and I used a belly band to keep it closed.
I made a box for the card. Now she has a safe place for her card. Of note I love how the unicorn turns around and around. I am sure she will love this card. Happy Birthday Emily!

Folded Mini Album

One of my favorite papercrafting projects that I like doing is scrapbooking because I love working with pictures. I made this card for me and used pictures of my siblings with their spouses. I thought it was a great sample to use in case my sisters and I decide to make some of these and sell at our next craft fair. I found a few samples of this type of mini album/card on Pinterest and did some hunting for dimensions. I finally found a tutorial but it was in centimeters and then I found another one but I found it hard to understand but finally I figured it out. The directions I used are the following. Cut 2- 9 1/4 x 3 1/4 for the front panel and back panel. Cut 1-9x12 cardstock then score on the long side at 3, 6, and 9. Then score on the short side at 3 and 6. On the short side cut at 3 and 6 from 1 1/2 - 10 1/2. Back to the long side score at 1 1/2 and 10 1/2 from 3-6. I used a ribbon for the closure. The ribbon is adhered to the back of the card/album only. I hope these directions help. There are lots of samples on Pinterest. See template below.

Birthday Block Card

These block/cube cards are fun to make. I love the way they fold up and can be easily mailed. This card is for a friend whose birthday is coming up in March and she is in Florida so in the mail it goes! The paper is from Stampin up as well as the flower dies and bumble bees. The daisy is a sizzix die. Eileen loves gardening and especially her flowers so this card is perfect for her. Happy Birthday Eileen!
Closer look at the bumble bee from Stampin up bundle called Honey Bee bundle. The sentiment on the back of the card is from Stampin up's Grace's Garden. Thanks for stopping by. Can't wait for spring!

The sentiment is on the back! Found the sentiment on Pinterest and it is perfect especially since all our friends are "aging"! I loved making this card! Happy Birthday Tom!

Motorcycle Birthday

My brother-in-law's birthday is this month and he just bought this motorcycle! He loves riding motorcycles; he has 3 of them! Punch art was perfect to make a motorcycle for the front of the card. I used the picture he sent us for the back of the card. Found all of these little sentiments on Pinterest for the card. Thanks stopping by. Happy Birthday Sandy!
