Beach Babes!

Birthday Card for a Beach Girl!  My girlfriend, Anna, has a bunch of people who call themselves "Beach Bums Society of America" -BBSOA and they get together every nice day in the summer at Pine Point/Old Orchard Beach.  They are crazy for the sun!  I saw this stamp from "Art Impressions" and immediately thought of Anna and her friends at the beach.  Life is a beach for them!

Here is a closer look at this Z fold card with the inserts making the ocean and some fish.  I had the sun which is a sticker in my stash and thought it would be perfect!  The side has a sentiment from Stampin up.  I really love how this card came out!

Thanks for stopping by to check out this card and below is a picture of the back of the card -Beach Rules from Graphic 45, By the Sea!

Another Wiper Card

Just a quick post because in the previous post I made these wiper cards and posted the tutorial there. Needed another birthday card so made another one.  The Happy Birthday Die is from Elizabeth Craft and it has a shadow look to it because of a black die cut behind the tan "Happy Birthday"!  Hope that makes sense to you.

The back of this card is a sentiment from Stampin Up called "Everything Nice".  Such a cute and easy peasy card to make!  Just love using my new balloon and stamps from SU.  Wiper cards are cool! Thanks for stopping in!

Birthday Wipers

March has been a busy month with birthdays, of course, retirement, and a new baby!  So I have been busy in my craftroom which is not a chore at all!  Love it all!  This is a Wiper card which I saw on Pinterest.  This card is for a friend's birthday and her favorite movie is the Wizard of Oz.  I used the paper from SU with the hot air balloons!  The pop up are hot air balloons which I purchased from Memory box.  It was perfect to coordinate with this card.
Just pull the tab on the left and it pop ups!

Added a flap for more room!

Here is a great tutorial for a wiper card.  You will be amazed at how easy this card is to make.

Another with red wording

The pop of for this card are balloons but you can use whatever you want.  I want to try one with flowers and maybe someone peaking out from above.  How cute would that be?? Not done with this type of card for sure.  Thanks for checking my blog out!

Bundle of Joy

Right off the bat, I  am going to give you the link to this fun mini wallet size album.  Just click here.  This is Part I and Part II is off to the right hand side on youtube.  It was a fun little album to make for my niece's new daughter, Aubrey.  I copied some pictures off Facebook and added them but there is plenty of space to add more pictures.  I am sure they will be taking a lot of pictures since this is their first child.  I decorated the album with Echo Park's Bundle of Joy collection.  Just love both collections, they have one for baby girl and one for baby boy!

In this pictures the area where it says Baby's First Year, I did add some pages because I thought she might have some bigger pictures and this was a great place to add those.   The accordion pages are for smaller pictures or you can use it for journaling.

How cute is she! Love this picture of Aubrey!  Since she lives in Georgia, I haven't been able to meet her yet but hopefully in the future.  Her little hat is adorable! I love how this little album all came together.

Everything that I used in this album was from the paper collection.  There were 2 sticker sheets which I have used for cards and this album and I did  make a bigger album for a friend.  I don't have any paper left and very few stickers.  I did use a magnet to keep this checkbook area closed even though I don't think  I really needed to but love to use the magnets!   Welcome little Aubrey!  and Congratulations Danielle & Kyle!  Enjoy your Bundle of Joy!

Happy Retirement!

Love making these Z fold cards!  My sister has retired from banking and I know she is looking forward to this spring and summer to watch her flowers grow!  (Even though, today in the northeast we are having a blizzard!)  But spring is just around the corner and the snow will be gone!!  The bank had a little retirement party for her and it is definitely well deserved!  Congratulations Chris!

I have seen a lot of cards on Pinterest with the insert for a baby crib but I thought it would be cute with a fence for a flower garden.  The fence is MS fence border punch.  The paper is Graphic 45 French Country which is retired but I still have a 12x12 that I have been hoarding and decided it was time to use it.  The flowers, I think, are from Die-namics and I use it alot!!  The wheelbarrel is a Memory box die.  The cute little frog, which is adorable, is a sticker from Michael's.

Here is a closer look from the side showing the inserts with the fence.  Graphic 45's French Country is so pretty and I love sunflowers!!  Who doesn't right?  Enjoy your retirement Chris!

Pretty Succulents!

I am loving the succulents that I am seeing on Pinterest!  I don't have the SU succulent stamp set and dies but I wanted to try and make them with other dies that I have.  I have a number of flower dies and punches and was happy to use them for this.  The succulents in the picture above are made with Tim Holtz's Tattered flower die and a couple of punches that I have.  I alternated with some of the flowers and then used the same with others to change it up a little.  I like the way they came out, although, not perfect like the ones from Stampin up.    The little cactus-like one in the middle is just made with the extra-large circle punch from SU. I think I punched out 8 ovals to make the cactus. All the flowers are inked with Ranger's distressed inks.  For the inks I used concord grape, forest moss and barn red.  There are more pictures to show the side view.  I love the little container that I used. I bought it at Michael's for only $5.  What a deal!

St Patrick's Face

I love doing punch art and this St Patrick's Day card was fun to make!  I have made it before and wanted to make a St Patrick's Day card for my son.  So here it is again!  Some SU punches and Spellbinders dies were used for this card!  I added a few emerald gems!!

I have been working on succulents that I have seen on Pinterest but I don't have the SU stamps and dies so  I am using some other dies and punches I have!  See you soon to show you this!
