Touchdown!

This is just a quick post to showcase this birthday card for a high school friend.  He loves football and goes to our alma mater, Thornton Academy's Football games.  I used Stampin up's balloons and Elizabeth Craft's "Happy Birthday"!  Of course, I had to use Thornton Academy's colors maroon and gold!    Let's check inside...

For the goal posts, I used Stampin up's dress form and just cut out the dress foam part.  The football is from Elizabeth Craft and the leg is punch art using punches from Stampin up.  Check out this card that I found on Pinterest that inspired me to make this football card.

Love using stuff I have to make something other than what it was made for and this is an example of that so thank you for showing me this card!  Love it!  Happy Birthday Chuck!

Birthday Bowling Ball

Here is the picture of my brother in law's birthday card.  He has taken up bowling this summer along with my sister, Chris and my other sister Connie and her husband, Russ.  Mark and I have gone a few times but they are really the good about going each week.  I have made quite a few double Z fold cards and this one I can add to it.    We celebrated his birthday at a restaurant called Marco's in Lewiston, Maine.  It is a great Italian restaurant - so good!!  Closer look at the card below where you can see Mickey's hand holding the balloons!

Happy Birthday Tom!

Because I turned 62 on August 11th, I was able to get my Senior Pass for the National Parks at $10 before they go up to $80 on August 28th.  Either way, it is still a great deal because it is for a lifetime. But now I have my own!!  We went to the Kangamangus and stopped at the Ranger Station for my pass and they were so great there.  Our trip yesterday consisted of Cog Railway,  Eagle Mountain House,  North Conway Scenic Railway and LL Bean in North Conway!!  Along the way we saw the Mount Washington Hotel.

Stopped traffic on the way home were these cute ducks!  People had to get out of their cars and move them to the side of the road.  They were about a dozen of them and they were so darn cute!

Together again!

Birthdays Galore!

This has been a busy month making birthday cards for friends and relatives. Right now, I just finished making some thank you cards to send out for my birthday gifts from friends and relatives that were so kind to me on my birthday!!  I used Stampin up "Just Believe" stamp set that I think was my first clear stamp set I purchased from SU!  I saw a card similar to this on Pinterest and I haven't done any sponging or embossing in a while and wanted to make this one.

Stampin up's "Jar of Love" Stamp set and dies is definitely a favorite set of mine and this is what I made for my sister's card this year.  Love the shaker style cards!  So  pretty!!  This was put in the mail today for her birthday next week.  I still have another birthday card to show you for my brother in law which I will show in the next post.  (Oops!, I thought I had taken a picture of it but I didn't) Thanks for stopping by.  Can't believe in another month it will be fall!  Happy End of the Summer to all!

Birthday Boy!

This trifold card is for a friend.  His birthday was on the 14th of August and we celebrated with him hosting a cookout and giving he and his wife a scrapbook album for our trip to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons this past May.

This paper used on this card and the scrapbook album is from the Simple Stories collection, "Cabin Fever".  The embellishments on this card are from the sticker sheet from SS-Cabin Fever.   I love the picture I used with Dennis at the Paint Pots at Yellowstone.  It looks so eerie with the steam from the mud pots but I love it.

Below are some pictures from the scrapbook that I made for the Elas.  Picking out the pictures for this album was the hardest part of this project because there were so many good ones and so little time and space!  Love making scrapbook or mini albums for people!  Pictures are so much fun!! Check out some of the pages below and thanks for stopping by!

Baby Bottle

Another baby girl for the Wallace family!  I found this bottle template on Pinterest and with my new Marianne Creatables rocking horse die made this cute card for the baby shower last weekend.   Love the pink plaid glitter paper that I used from Michael's and the gray polka-dot paper from SU.  Just added a little lace and all done!!

Inside just a cute baby sentiment and I made a pocket for a gift card.  Also got the "little feet" from Marianne Creatables too!   I also wanted to show you the gift bag because the baby's sister, Evy, loves Minnie Mouse and so do I!

Who doesn't love Minnie??!!!
