Happy 38th

Today is my  husband and mine 38th Anniversary!!  Here is the card that I made for him! I have been following Mixedup Crafts tutorials and she does a wonderful job explaining everything that she creates from the lanterns, train, and now this style card!  I will put the link to her tutorial below with some more pictures of this card. It is called an inside out card!  She makes it as a New Year's Card but it works for just about any type of card.  You will have plenty of room for you sentiment which is great! Just love it!!

Christmas Preparation!

I found this train tutorial on my favorite site, Pinterest!  I am going to use this for a centerpiece at Christmas!  It is my turn to have Christmas at our house so I am busy cleaning and making favors for Christmas!  The tutorial for this is below - the only difference is that I added a grill to the front of the train with a wreath!  Mixedup crafts does a wonderful job explaining this project. I also made a track for the train out of chipboard and just covered it with craft paper and a train track.  I copied the link from youtube so you can find the video there...

Here are a few more pictures of the train.  I have elves managing the train!  The elves are from My Favorite Things which are so cute.  I encourage you to check out this video!  This is just so adorable for candy or that "special gift" because the engine is a box that opens up!! Perfect!

Side Panel Birthday Cards

I found a video by mixedupcrafts of this Side Panel fold  cards.  It show cases Graphic 45 paper collections beautifully and I knew that my sisters, Chris and Connie would love it for their birthday cards which happens to be today.  We celebrated their birthdays yesterday which was a lot of fun!  The link for this style card is below...

It reminds me of a scene stepper or center fold type card.  I love finding new types of cards to make-- it is neverending which I love!  The paper collections from Graphic 45 are Fairie Dust and Ladies Diaries.  Both collections are so beautiful!! I put the sentiments on the back of the card which is pictured below.  Happy Birthday Chris & Connie--I won't tell anyone how old you are!!

Last weekend my husband and I with friends went to the Botanical Gardens in Boothbay Harbor, Maine.  It is called Garden's A-Glow.  It is the second year that we have gone and it is bigger this year and so gorgeous.  It definitely got us in the Christmas spirit!!  Check out some pictures--

Birthday Eclipses!

Eric's Birthday

Maine Humor!
I made this Eclipse card for my son's birthday back in October.  October was such a busy month for me getting ready for our craft fair that I didn't have time to post his card.  The picture I used to make this card is the Portland Headlight in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.  (The most photographed lighthouse in United States) It is a beautiful spot and I thought since my son lives in San Francisco, he would get a love it.    I also made a tag for him with Julie Nutting's boy stamp.  Love using her stamps!!  Below are some more Eclipse cards I have made for birthdays and other occasions!  Right now I have only done this method with pictures but I want to do it with stamped scenery too.  I just love this technique!  Thanks for stopping by and checking out my cards.

September Celebrations!

Marianne Designs' Squirrel

Flag Birthday Card
September has become a big month for celebrations!  Anniversaries and birthdays galore!!  This card is for a friend.  I had to use Marianne Creations squirrel die which I think is so cute and appropriate because this summer and fall, we have been overrun with them.  This is a fun card to make and I used JustRite Stamps that I haven't used in a while.

Graphic 45's Fairie Dust paper collection is so beautiful and I had to use it for another friend's birthday which was at the end of September!  Love this type of pop up card!  Doesn't everyone love fairies, unicorns and magic!!

Love this stamp set from Stampin up and it was great for an anniversary card, so I made 2!  My brother, Hal and Charlotte and my sister, Connie and Russ had Anniversaries in September.  I made the same card but different colors!  Pretty, pretty, pretty!!!
