September Has Arrived!

Love making a Z-Fold card. This one is a for a friend of my daughter who does a lot of bicycle riding. He has the cutest little dog so I had to add her in the basket. All of the images are dies that I have from Stampin up, Sizzix and Dynamics.

These "Flag" styled cards are fun to do too! Perfect for putting little messages on the banners. Another September birthday and there are more to come.  Fall is the best time of the year in my opinion with beautiful warm days and cool nights.

Maine Birthdays!

I had to use once again Graphic 45's Ocean Blue for my sister's birthday since we were born and raised in the great State of Maine. Graphic 45's Ocean Blue is the perfect statement for a birthday in the summer in Maine!  I'm not sure what this style card is called but it is sort of an accordian card since there is multiple folds in this card.

Having fun getting ready for another craft day in November doing a shelft sitter. Love this fall themed shelf sitter using a napkin which is so pretty! Hope you love it!

Craft Day!

I took a break from cardmaking to make these button bouquets. We had Craft day last week with my sisters and a friend and made these button bouquets. I have so many buttons this is a great craft. Love the different bouquets that we all made! It is always fun finding a new craft that we all can do together.

Another fun craft that my sisters and I are doing is shelf sitters. I made this one this week with an autumn theme. It measures 8x8 and I used a napkin for the design. There are lots of ideas on Pinterest.

August Celebrations!

With the use of my Cricut I made this birthday card for a friend who loves to golf! I thought this pop out card was a perfect style to show this! The golf cart and golf bag was cut out from my Cricut.  It folds to a 5x7 card and it is easily mailed.

I made the same style card for another friend who has a Miata and we have a convertible BMW so we take rides together. This car is also from my Cricut.  There is plenty of room on the back for the sentiment.

Lastly, a pillar birthday card for a high school friend. I used Graphic 45 paper collection called Ocean Blue.  This collection has to be one of my favorites and love using it for friends and relatives who love the ocean/beach.  Thank you for stopping by.

Hexagon Birthday Card

This hexagon shaped card is for my sister's birthday which happened to be yesterday so I can post this now. Graphic 45 Bee paper collection is adorable for a summer birthday. Easy to do! Sentiment is on the back using Spellbinders nesting dies.
If you have shoe boxes, you should keep them. They come in handy to decorate for all different occasions. This one I decorated for a baby shower to put suggestions for baby names for the mom-to-be! She knows that she is having girls so I used pink! The theme for the baby shower was "Two Scoops are better than One"

Birthday, Birthday and Babies!

I am not sure what this style card is called but how about an accordion with panel card. This is for my cousin who has a birthday next week and works with marine life. She has hit a big milestone of 50! The Graphic 45 paper collection is so beautiful that any birthday card would come out amazing.  The little seal is from my cricut.

My second birthday card I used a die that I have had forever and I think it is from Dynamics but I am not sure. I colored the fish and seagrass with copic markers. Happy birthday. Hallie!

My third card is for a friend's daughter in law who is having TWINS! She is having twin girls. I used a stampin up baby set. The paper collection is from Echo Park. What a blessing for their little family!

Anniversary & Babies!

This double Z fold was easy to make. It is always fun to find a way to decorate for the special occasion and in this case it was for an Anniversary. I used a Stampin up stamp set with the coordinating dies.

This is a gatefold card for a friend's son and his wife who are having twins in October! They found out recently that they are girls. Love working with pink! Echo park paper collection worked out perfect for this baby card. They really had some cute stickers! Thanks for stopping by!

A Runner's Card

I love making a card when I know what theme I can use. This is a Z-fold card for my daughter's friend who ran in a 1/2 marathon a couple of weeks ago with her. They both did great! My cricut sure came in handy for the runner and the "Finish Line" images. This is a quick post to showcase this card. Happy Birthday Jess!

Easy to fold and mail

Plenty of room for the sentiment

Pop Up Step Fold Cards for June!

I saw this pop up step fold card on Pinterest and had to make a couple for June's celebration.  I love that I could use scraps for the card and then decorated with dies from stampin up.  I also made a birthday card using this same fold. There is plenty of room on the back for the sentiment and it folds for a 5 x 7 envelope. Here is the link to the tutorial https://www.pinterest.com/pin/34832597116586582/

Here is the second card I made with this style card. Love how they both came out!

Book Folding for Christmas

I have started making items for our craft fair in the fall. The books I use for the book folding technique are books that have been used and used.  Loving how this Christmas tree and Christmas gnome came out. The Christmas tree I have made before but this time I put fairy lights on it. The picture below does not do it justice but it does look pretty cool.  Of course, the Santa hat makes the Christmas gnome. Hoping that these 2 items are hits at the craft fair. Enjoy!

Kentucky Derby Time!

Just a short post to show our favors for this weekend's Kentucky Derby dinner. I got the little horses from Amazon and decorated the little boxes with Graphic 45 paper, roses and the horseshoe is from my Cricut. Love how they came out. Below are more closeup photos of the favors. Can't wait for Derby Day!

More April Birthdays!

Flowers, flowers and more flowers! This is the time of year for the flowers. In the Northeast it has been an interesting spring but my daffodils are surviving the cold, snow showers and, of course, loving the rain! It is great seeing all the perennials coming up! Love making this variation of a trifold card.

I call this style card a One-Pillar pop out card. Love how it folds down to be mail and plenty of room for a sentiment on the back.  It has to be a beachy theme card because this guy lives near the ocean. Lots of fun using my dies for this card. Happy Birthday!

Lastly, here in Maine we usually don't get snow in April but time to time we do get it. Here on April 6th we got about an inch of snow to cover the grass but not the roads or driveway which is a blessing. It won't be long before we are complaining about the humidity and hot temperatures, can't wait!

Pillar and Bridge Birthday Cards

I have made a couple of these pillar cards which is easy to make and I like that it can have a photo that you can put in it.  It easily folds down and fits in an envelope. Happy Birthday Lenny!

My second birthday card is a bridge card with a coffee theme for my sister who loves her coffee in the morning and I think noon and night! LOL! This was a fun card to make with a stamp set from Stampin up. Happy Birthday Phillis!

Spring has sprung here in the Northeast! It was a beautiful day with 68 degrees today! But it is still April so showers are on the way for the rest of the week. I was happy to see my daffodils coming up and some have bloomed in our neighbors yard! It won't be long before we will be able to mow the lawns. I took this photo in our backyard last week when the sun was setting. It was too gorgeous not to share! Thanks for stopping by!
