Crazy Bird Birthday
This Z fold card is for a February birthday. I love Tim Holtz's crazy birds stamps and dies. The crazy birds are perfect for googly eyes and who doesn't love googly eyes.
The sentiment is on the back! Found the sentiment on Pinterest and it is perfect especially since all our friends are "aging"! I loved making this card! Happy Birthday Tom!

My Valentine!
I have started making my Valentine's Day cards because it will be here before you know it. This one is for my husband. It is the twist and pop card, using Mon Amour from Graphic 45. The paper is beautiful! I am glad I don't have to mail this because the embellishments I used inside and out make the card a little thick. When I make this card again, I think I will put a gusset in it.
The paper from Graphic 45 makes this card so special. The cupids are dies from Die-namics and the lace heart die is from Cheery Lynn Designs. It is kind of hard to see but the letters L O V E are glittered letters from Michael's. They fit perfectly in the hearts from Spellbinders/Nestabilities. Still need to make a couple more Valentine's Day cards. Thanks for checking this card out!

Birthday for Andrea!
This is a shaker/pop up card for my sister, Andrea's birthday. Just getting into the shaker style cards and they are fun to make. There are so many ways to use shaker cards. I love making them.
This is the pop up part of the card. On the tutorial, she called it a panel pop up card. She mentioned that you husband who is an engineer helped her with the mechanics of this card which I thought was interesting. Just click here for the tutorial. She does a great job explaining it.
Lastly, I wanted to share the card that my sister, Chris made for my birthday last week. It is so cute and I love the mermaid, especially her hair! It is a shaker card too! So cool!!

Birthday Shoes
Love these building block cards especially for birthdays! I have made a few of these this year for birthdays and get well. Graphic 45 Couture paper collection was used for this one. My sister-in-law is a shopper and her favorite item to purchase is shoes and handbags. Loved making this card for her. I used cut aparts for the card and a shoe die as well as spellbinder dies. The handbags are little 3-dimensional handbags from K & Company.
A closer look at the inside of the card. I think Charlotte will like the saying, "A girl can never have too many shoes". Happy Birthday Charlotte! Enjoy your day! Love you!

Spring Stair Step Birthday!
In a couple of days, it will be my sister, Phillis' birthday!! She will be 55, double nickels!! I found this picture of her when it was her 17th or 18th birthday. She is holding a cake in each hand. The cakes were made by another sister, Andrea and they are Holly Hobby cakes! I thought they were done professionally but Andrea told me that she made them. Back then, they were very popular! Great job Andrea!!
This card is a stair step and I added a flap so I could put the picture in it. Having a lot of fun with this type of stair step cards. This is about the 3rd or 4th one I have made but this is the first one I made with a flap. The directions for these cards are in a previous post. I decorated the card with Die-namics, sizzix, Memory box and Nestabilities dies. Prima flowers were added with a MS butterfly punch. The paper is from SEI.
Wanted to make the card springy with the flowers, leaves, butterflies and birds. The birds are stickers. So happy that here in the Northeast it has gotten so much warmer!! Yesterday it was 68 and today it will be the same!! Finally Spring has Sprung!!
Here is the front of the card and when it is closed. I love using the Memory butterfly die with the Prima Flowers! and the paper is gorgeous! Happy Birthday little sister, Phillis!!!

Today would have been my Dad's 87th birthday. He died in Dec 2010 and my family misses him every day but today is special because of his birthday. He loved to celebrate with family no matter the occasion but it did like it when it was focused on him. (and who doesn't) I can't believe it has been 4 years. Happy Birthday Dad!! Love you

Bendi-Fold Card
I saw this card on pinterest and watched the tutorial on splitcoast on how to make this new type of card. Please check out this tutorial by Bibiana. She does a great job showing how it is done. I used Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourish for the very front with some small little flowers. Memory box dies for the bird, branch and leaves as well as the tree in the inner most fold. I wanted to put a cat or dog running in the field but I didn't have one but that will have to be my next purchase. MS punch for the fence with more flowers. Check out below for more pictures of the inside of the card and the sentiment for a Happy Birthday to someone special. It is great because it does fold down and fits into a 4 3/4 x 6 1/2 envelope. Thanks Bibiana!!

Hearts, Hearts and More Hearts
I remember when I was in elementary school we would use white doilies to make Valentine's Day cards and this card reminds me of it. The white paper doily just screams Valentine's Day to me!! I love this paper from cratepaper. It is such a pretty background paper. The layers of hearts are spellbinders and the lacey heart is from Cheery Lynn Designs, so pretty!! It is hard to see but I sponged the banner from Spellbinders with the pink Distress Ink from Ranger/Tim Holtz.
This card is really a trifold and the second page has more hearts from Spellbinders and a glittered, sticker, red heart that I had. SU sentiment "love you much" added. Below is a picture of the third page or inside of the card which has the sentiment and, of course, more hearts with a large green leaf die from Dee's Distinctively. Dee's Distinctively is a new line for me which I love!!
I made 2 of these cards which I am sending to my son and his girlfriend and the other one is for my daughter. I had so much fun making these during the Blizzard that we had over the weekend here in the Northeast. Maybe Blizzards aren't so bad because it keeps me in my craftroom creating!! Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!!!

Warmest Holiday Wishes
Last year I was going to try and make one Christmas card a week. Well, I fell short of that but decided I would try and make the same commitment this year. So here goes my first card for this year. The background Poinsetta paper is from My Mind's Eye. The big red bow is from a box of candy that my husband and I got from a friend last Christmas. I thought it was so pretty I couldn't throw it away so I recycled it on a card!!! The sentiment is from SU Christmas Cardinal with nestabilities. The punch art poinsetta is from Spellbinders Bauble Blossoms One and I used by Fanciful Flourishes from Cheery Lynn Designs. The leaves on the poinsetta are from the SU blossoms punch. I embossed the sentiment with gold and added a large pearl in the center of the flower.
Now that I have started my Christmas cards, let's see if I can keep it going! I know it is going to be hard since the weather is beautiful and summer is just around the corner! I love summer in Maine!!! Enjoy!

Valentine Rose
This cascading fold card is a new one for me! Love this fold! My sister, Chris, showed me how to do this fold and she has made about 4 or 5 of them. Check out her blog at callalilystudioblog.blogspot.com for more cards and instructions. The big red rose is from valita's blog. She uses the SU owl punch. The vine that the rose is on is from spellbinders and I added a toothpick to the back of it to give it some strength. The white envelope is from sizzix and I just put the sentiment in the envelope from SU "Love Always" set. The front of the card is nestabilities heart with Cheery Lynn Designs "Fanciful flourish". I have additional pictures below to show you the sentiment on the back and the sides of the card. I have added more hearts and Memory Box outline of hearts. My husband has been so great; this card is for him for sure! This is a great card for looking harder than it really is! Have fun!

Happy Birthday Chris & Connie
Last week was my twin sisters birthday, Chris and Connie so I had to get busy with not 1 card but 2! I was tempted to do the same card but then they got that
most of their lives so I did two different ones. Plus their birthdays are in December which I am sure Mom and Dad did their best with birthday gifts but somehow people who have birthdays in December must feel like they got short-changed just because Christmas is not that far away. But I never heard either of them complain.
This card is for Chris. I used SU DP which I can't recall the name of it and too lazy to look it up but it is a very pretty design. Several different layers with the top one having stamped musical notes from a stamp I had and putting Cheery Lynn Designs die on top with SU sentiment on nestabilities die. The added touch was the Prima flower and a glittery blue brad from SU for the center. I just love the way it came together. The design idea I used is from Mrsoke. Check out her card.
The second card is for Connie and I used SU sizzix EF. Just saying I love this folder!!!! SU sizzix little leaves were glued on white cardstock and then placed in another SU sizzix EF. Love this technique!
Added Prima Flowers and MS butterfly punch with
SU sentiment and SU punch. This was the first time that I used this technique and I definitely am going to do it again. Love this!!! Thanks for stopping by, now onto Christmas cards!!

Happy Thanksgiving
Now that Halloween is over, I need to get serious about Thanksgiving and Christmas cards. Here is my first Thanksgiving card for the season. Thanksgiving will be here before you know it and I'm just getting started. I love using my Fanciful flourish die from Cheery Lynn Designs with the punch art pumpkins. The background is Tim Holtz woodgrain EF. I used Rangers distress ink to give the EF some depth. Another new item for me is the banner from Spellbinders. Just a simple Autumn scene for a Happy Thanksgiving Day card. Thanks for looking.

Cake Slice
This is my first attempt at the cake slice box. I can see that I need to cover up the yellow a little better on the corners but I had fun decorating it. I found the template on the internet for this cake slice box favor. The trim on the side is SU border punch and the leaves on the top are from Cheery Lynn designs. Check out the picture below - I like having the leaves go over the side. The flower is from SU build a blossom punch. The petals are embossed with SU EF. Just a little amber-colored crystal for the center. The ribbon is from Joann's Fabric. Gonna have to try this again, maybe with carrott cake and cream cheese frosting. Boy, I'm making myself hungry for cake!!!
