Anniversary Flip Flap Shutter Card

I love making these cards from Ann Melvin's tutorial. Graphic 45 Love Notes is perfect for Valentine as well as Anniversary. This is an Anniversary card that I made to sell. When it is closed, it does take a big envelope. This card measures 10x5 mostly because of the side holders which opens and closes it. If you didn't have any closures then it would measure 8x5. I used a lot of the cut aparts and stickers that came with the collection.

Valentine Shutter Card

I I am starting a little early making Valentine cards. This style card was fun to make especially when it came out right! Love how the shutters open and close. The tutorial for this card was done by Ann Melvin. She did a great job explaining and it was easy to follow. I used Spellbinders heart nestabilities. I love the little cupids from Impression Obsession. The stamp I used is from Stampin up.
The back of the card has plenty of room for a sentiment. I added plenty of bows, roses and bling to the card. Can't wait to make another one! Off to the craftroom!

Husband's Birthday

This is a trishutter variation style card that I made for my husband's birthday card. Of course, my favorite Graphic 45 Ocean Blue paper collection that I have been hoarding, I had to use! My husband loves the ocean as we have been on 3 cruises and he used to sail with his father when he was young. A couple of years ago my son, Eric and his friend Jackson with Mark sailed under the Golden Gate Bridge which he was so happy to do! It is an extra special day not just because it is Mark's birthday but he is recovering from Covid and Biden's Inauguration! Happiest of Birthdays to you, Mark! I love you!
Today is our neighbor's birthday also and I made this card for her. She is obviously a nurse and I saw a bunch of scrub shirts on Pinterest which is perfect for her. I used punch art for the stethoscope and needle but the pill bottle and xray are stickers. I love the sentiment I found on Pinterest, Safety first! Drink with a nurse! Happy Birthday Liz!

Rockin' Birthday

Card in Box cards are always fun to make and easy to mail! January 20th is a popular birthday, besides my husband's birthday, I know 4 other people who have birthdays on this date. One of them is a student of Mark's. Tia must be in her early 30's now and she still sends Mark a birthday card and has done it since she was in elementary school. The card above is for her. Happy Birthday Tia! You are the sweetest!

2021 January Birthday

Back in my craftroom and making cards for friends and family because January is a big month for birthdays. Love making these cube cards and I decided to make this one for a friend who loves the beach. She never gets a beach card from me because of her January birthday. I always feel it should be a winter card. So I decided to change it up a little. Graphic 45 Ocean Blue paper collection continues to be a favorite of mine so I used it for her card. I hope I didn't go overboard with the fishes and shells. I will need to use a big envelope because this card measures 6x7.
Happy Birthday Betti! Happy 2021!

Happy New Year 2021

Just a quick post to show this Get Well Card. This is the second invert center fold card that I have made. This one is for our neighbor who just had knee surgery for the second time. She is only in the third grade. Caroline has had a rough winter because this was her second knee surgery. She has had both knees done this fall and winter. She and her sister made my husband and I cards when we were sick with Covid so I wanted to make her one. Caroline hope you have a speedy recovery so that you can get out there next winter and ski!!
