Classic Birthday

Lately, I have been making a lot of pop up cards for birthdays, anniversaries and other occasions. This one is for my brother-in-law that loves old cars. I put him in the driver's seat and Phillis, my sister, in the passenger seat. I used Tim Holtz's jalopy sizzix die. I think his favorite style car is a VW (which I think I have done before with punch art) but I thought this would be a fun alternative. Happy Birthday Cary!
Here is the front of the card. My sisters and I have set up an Etsy store called cooksistersdesigns. We have put 8 items on Etsy, hoping that something sells soon. Here are a few of the items that we have there. Go check them out! Thanks for stopping by!

Soccer Birthday Card

This is a quick post for a birthday card. Love making these pop up cards. This one is for a neighbor, Caroline, who is a soccer player. She is 11 today and is quite a good soccer player. I haven't used my moose stamps in quite a while and was thrilled to use this one. It is so adorable! Fun to make a card that I have a theme that is personal for that person and this one was a hit! Happy Happy Birthday Caroline!

Babies and Birthdays

My daughter asked me to make a baby girl card for a co-worker who just had a baby girl. This baby dress is a template that I have used before from Pinterest and I love using lace for it. The paper collection is Echo Park and so are the stickers from the collection. The baby's name is Eloise which you just don't hear anymore. Loved making this card!
Hello Eloise Jean!
Here is another Grace's Garden Stampin up Birthday card. I have made a few because I love this stamp set and I know so many people who love their gardens. This one is a tent card. Here are a few more pictures of it from the side and back.
Thanks for stopping by!

September Birthdays

Today is my daughter's birthday and here is the card that I made for her.  Becca Freeken's 3D Dome die is a lot of fun to make.  I have made a few but this is the second one I have made using the Dome die.  I love that it is a diorama card and can be folded to fit into an envelope.  Below is a picture of a sideview and the back of the card for the sentiment.  Just love how it came out.  Happy Birthday Lindsey!

31 years
This coming week a friend of mine, grandson has  a birthday.  He loves Ninja Turtles so I had to make him a card in the box card with all the Ninja Turtles.  I did make one  of these several years ago for my son because he liked the Ninja Turtles when he was growing up too. Love putting googly eyes on projects!!   Check out the card below for Tanner!!   Happy Birthday Tanner!

Father's Day Cards Galore!

3 U fold cards for Father's Day

Closer look
My sisters and I are busy making cards and other projects for an upcoming craft fair.  We haven't done one in a long time so we are busy, busy, busy.  I made these U fold cards because the fair is June 9th and 10th and the next weekend is Father's Day (June 17th)! I have seen many of these types of cards on Pinterest and had to make some for myself.  I used the Stampin up Apron bundle along with Marianne Creatables handy man tools.  Love the wood grain paper from Simple stories, it just screams masculinity!

Card in a box BBQ
This is another Father's Day fun card to make!  Card in the box grill for the grillmaster of the house!  Punch art for the hamburger and hot dog on the side and I used Tim Holtz bird cage for the grill underneath the hamburger and hot dog.  The utensils are from SU Apron bundle.

Father's Day Workshirt

For the nautical man
Love this shaker card for the man who loves the sea!  The sailboat is from Die-namics and so is the anchor and porthole.  This was a fun and easy card to make.  Thanks for stopping by and checking out all the cards.  Check back for more items that we will have on display for the fair.

Halloween Bridge & UFold Cards

Bridge Card
Bridge cards are fun to make especially when it is Halloween!  Love using my Halloween dies from Sizzix and Tim Holtz! The pumpkin is a foam sticker that I found at Michael's which I thought would be great for cards! The paper for both of these cards is from Stampin up and  Authenique.

Found the perfect Halloween sentiment for this card on Pinterest!  "May the blackest cat you've ever seen bring you Good Luck this Halloween!"

UFold Card
This card is a UFold card and I used more of my sizzix dies.  I added some googly eyes to the spiders which is always fun to do!!  This black cat is from sizzix  and it holds the panel down which says "Happy Halloween".  When you close the card the panel comes up which is shown below and on the back is another great Halloween sentiment for this card.  The paper I used I have had in my stash for so long that I cannot remember the name of it.

Card closed to mail
This sentiment in the picture is easier to read.  I have started early with my Halloween cards I think I might send more out than I usually do!  Halloween will be here before you know it!

Baby Bottle

Another baby girl for the Wallace family!  I found this bottle template on Pinterest and with my new Marianne Creatables rocking horse die made this cute card for the baby shower last weekend.   Love the pink plaid glitter paper that I used from Michael's and the gray polka-dot paper from SU.  Just added a little lace and all done!!

Inside just a cute baby sentiment and I made a pocket for a gift card.  Also got the "little feet" from Marianne Creatables too!   I also wanted to show you the gift bag because the baby's sister, Evy, loves Minnie Mouse and so do I!

Who doesn't love Minnie??!!!

Love Bunnies!

Before April is over, I wanted to show the 2 Easter cards I made for my children.  One is an Easel Card and the other a tunnel card.  Elizabeth Craft has the cutest bunny/rabbit die that I had to use it on both cards. The carrot that the bunny is holding is so small and so darn cute!  Love it!  The Martha Stewart balloon punch worked great for the size Easter egg that I needed.  Closer look at the individual cards are featured below so you can see the background of the tunnel card better. Thanks for stopping by that checking these cards out!

Birthday Album!

Birthdays Galore this month!  Here is  a punch art, easel card for my brother-in-law's birthday next week.  Brothers' Johnson was "a favorite album" of his.  I guess I should say it is an inside joke.

For this record player, I used mostly circle punches and dies.  The music notes are from Memory box and cuttlebug EF was used for the record pad.  Easel cards are easy to display and I never get tired of making them.  Enjoy your day Lenny!

Happy New Year 2017

These 2 Thank you cards are for my daughter and son who made out Christmas and our Anniversary special!  They took us to dinner for our Anniversary and Christmas was wonderful spending time with them and family.  My sister, Andrea had the big family Christmas and she did a great job.  I got this stamp set/bundle from Stampin up for Christmas and love them!!  The penquin and the snowmen are adorable!  The trees in the background are from Elizabeth Craft and the big snowflakes are a sizziz die. I love the cute little scarf, tie and ear muffs for the penquins and they snowmen.

Love the sentiment that is included in the stamp set.  It says, "there's snow place like home"! The background behind the penquin is a snowflake cuttlebug EF.

I have been busy this week cleaning up and out my craftroom.  I got a few things for Christmas so a realized I had to go through my stuff and see what I haven't used in a long time and decided it was time to get rid of stuff.  Believe it or not, I love organizing so it was actually fun to do! I'll have to post some pictures of my craftroom once I get it the way I want it.  This is my first card of the year and again this is a great bundle from Stampin up!!  Happy 2017!

Russ' Birthday Card

I have certainly been busy this past week in my craftroom with Christmas cards to get out and my sisters having a birthday.  I can't post what I made for my sisters since I haven't given it to them yet but I can post my brother-in-law's card since he isn't a visitor to my blog.  I saw this card on pinterest and watched the video on how to make it on Splitcoast.  It is called an envelope fold card. Make sure you use good and sturdy cardstock for this card. I wanted to use my Elizabeth Craft owl die because all of her animal dies are so cute!!  Just added some leaves and finished up the card.    I want to try this type of card again and have something hanging, like snowflakes falling, which they are predicting here in Maine at the end of the week.

Front of card
The front of the card is pretty simple with Tim Holtz Sizzix words.  I use these dies all the time for cards and projects.

A closer look at Mr. Owl with his leaves and acorn.  Mr. Owl says "Goodness Heavens, look whooooo's 67"!    Now, back to the craftroom to finish up my Christmas cards!!

Halloween Shaker Card

Loving using my new Stampin "Jar of Love" stamp and die set!  The Z fold card is so fun and easy to make. Googly eyes in the jar for the Witches Brew is perfect!  I haven't used the owl punch from SU in a while and it makes such an adorable witch, I had to use it.  Never know what you are going to find in a witches brew!

In the open position you can see the sentiment on the left side of the card.  A closer look at the kettle of witches brew to the right. This was made with Nestabiities circle, SU tab punch, and the brew is from Martha Stewart's border punch.  I had a lot of fun designing and making this card! Just love Halloween!

Way to Go Emma!

Graduation time and this card is for my niece, Emma. She is graduating from High School in a couple of weeks and she is the last of the grandchildren for my parents.  I saw this type of card on pinterest and had a fun time making it.  These cards are called building block cards and it was perfect to put the year on it.  I had some stickers from Michael's that I used for the inside of the card.  There was a lot of measuring for the left side of the inside of the card but I thought it came out pretty good since I didn't have any instructions for it.  Check out the pictures below and Congratulations Emma!  Way to Go!!  Love you!

Golfing in Retirement!

Tulips in Bloom
Spring has arrived in Maine!  My daffodils bloomed last month and were coated in snow and I am happy to show this picture of Tulips with no snow!!   Spring is also a great time to retire.  This is a quick post to show the retirement card for my brother-in-law who retired a couple of weeks ago.  He is an avid golfer and what a better way to show that we know what he is going to be doing.

These shadow cards are so darn cute and easy to make.  Sometimes they are called diorama cards. Creating a hole-in-one, what golfer doesn't wish for that!!  Congratulations Tom!  Enjoy!
