My friend's birthday was last month but since we were away, we celebrated it this past weekend.  She loved her card in the box!  I used SU Designer paper and stamp set called "Jar of Love"!  Nothing like getting a box full of flowers!!  Happy Birthday Lynne!

Love making these Z fold cards!  Perfect for another friend whose birthday was last week.  She always calls herself the "Queen" and why not so this was a perfect card for her!  I used multiple stamps from Stampin up balloons, Julia Nutting doll, Elizabeth Craft castle,  MFT dragon and Sizzix's clouds.  Happy Birthday Anna!

Both of these types of cards were so much fun to make, Z fold and card in the box!  I have been making them for quite a while now and still amazes me that they fold up and can be mailed! Thanks for stopping by!

Disney Birthday!

I have the most fun making these explosion boxes for friends!  This one was the most fun because it is for a very good friend who loves Disney and Donald Duck! We finally celebrated her birthday last week (her birthday was in February) because we all have been traveling and was able to get together for lunch.  The paper is from Simple Stories and is just perfect for a Disney album or card!  I made a shaker star for the top of the box---the pictures below show the sides and, most importantly, inside!!

Donald Duck surprises Cindy on the inside of her explosion box!  How cool!!  I made a little platform for Donald to stand on.  Just love this!!

We had fun celebrating with Cindy! She is so easy to buy and make things because she loves Disney and Pink!! So guess which one is Cindy!! Love you Cindy!

Crazy Bird Tent Card

Just a quick post for a lovely lady! My husband and I have a friend that is going through a hard time medically right now.  She loves to laugh and these Crazy Birds by Tim Holtz always make me laugh so I thought this was perfect for her.  Just a Thinking of You card for her.  I used Graphic 45 paper for the card and SU flowers for decorating the tent part of the card. The flower on the front of the card is from Heartfelt Creations which I love to make up and just have them available for cards. Take care Sharon, we love you!!

I love making these Bridge cards and this one is for a good friend who had her birthday on March 1st!  It is a milestone for her at 70!!  She is a wonderful gardener and this made me think of her looking out her window at her gardens and trees!!  I used quite a few dies from Spellbinders,  Memory Box, and Sizzix.  The stamps used are from Stampin up.  Happy Birthday Eileen!

Wedding Luminary

I am working on making luminaries for a wedding this fall.  The bride has picked dark green and a golden color but she has told me that she may change her mind about the colors but I wanted to make a sample for her.  She wants them for each table at the reception.  Since it is an evening wedding, these luminaries will look beautiful with a little battery-operated tealight inside it.  The die used is from Spellbinders and the embellishments are things I had in my stash.  Fall colors really make this luminary beautiful!

Birthday Card for a Naval Officer

Coast Guard Sailor!

I just love making nautical cards for people I love!!  My brother-in-law's birthday was yesterday and he is a retired Coast Guard Officer, so I knew he would love this type of card for his birthday!  He has been retired about 7 or 8 years but he loves to sail.  He has been on many cruises because he loves being on the water as his brother, my husband!  We are headed for a cruise next week and very excited about it! 

For this card, I used some punches and dies.  Love the woodgrain paper from Simple Stories!  Thanks for stopping by to see this February birthday card! 

Golfer Lover!

Z fold card and punch art were the 2 techniques when making this card for a friend's birthday.  He loves to golf so I saw this punch art golf bag/cart on Pinterest by Lynn Pratt and decided to make this card for him.  This will definitely put him in the mood for golfing especially since the groundhog didn't see his shadow and spring is just around the corner!!  I used a number of punches for the golf bag and dies for the rest of the card.  Below are pictures  with a closer look at some of the sayings and sentiments for the birthday boy!  Happy Birthday Tom!
