Father's Day Pop up!

Here is one of the cards that I made for my husband for Father's Day this past weekend.  I used the beautiful Graphic 45 By the Sea collection.  It is such a gorgeous collection from Graphic 45!

My husband went to San Francisco this past April to help our son buy his first vehicle.  When he was there, he went sailing in the San Francisco Bay and sailed under the Golden Gate Bridge!  He can check that off his bucket list now.  The sentiment says, "Out of all the fish in the sea, I am lucky to have you as my husband!".   I used that picture for this card along with dies from Marianne Creatables, Die-namics and sizzix.  The fish and crab were MS punches.  The wave border punch was from EK punches.   I found this type of card on Pinterest and have gone back and can't find where I pinned it.  The instructions for it are really easy, see below.

For the base, cut 5x10 and score on the long side at 5 inches.  Then cut 2 - 5x5 and score every 1 inch (which will be 4 times) and then put together to make a box.  Cut 1- 5x2 and 1- 5x3 1/2.  Then just assemble as shown with the 5x2 cardstock in the front.  Decorate as desired.   Gonna make another one of these- love it!

I had already made this card for my husband before I made the one above so I decided to give him both!  Why not!  Again, I saw a similar card like this on Pinterest which inspired me to make this one.  Punch art is so fun to do and the bumble bee is adorable!!  This could be a birthday card or even a Valentine's Day card--just add some hearts!!

Schoolhouse Retirement Card!

Schoolhouse for a teacher that is retiring!  How perfect is this.  I saw this type of card on Pinterest as a house and because it is a perfect shape for any building structure, such as house, church, bank or schoolhouse!  Here is the card that I saw on Pinterest that gave me this idea for a retirement card.  Just click here for the link to make this style card.  It is the pop up 4 panel card without the panels.  I used punches from Stampin up and the gold bell is from punch bunch.

You can see how the mechanism works for the 4-panel pop up card in this picture and is perfect for a schoolhouse, etc.   It stands up really well.  Make sure you use heavy cardstock like SU's.  Really loved putting this card together!  Happy Retirement and Congratulations to Dolores!!

25 Years!

I just realized this morning that I didn't post the card I gave my sister and her husband for their 25th Wedding Anniversary!  I remember that day well.  It was a beautiful day in Kennebunk, Maine and the bride and her bridesmaids were gorgeous!  It is so hard to believe my younger sister has been married for 25 years!!!

I love easel cards because it displays so well.  The large heart is from Memory Box and I knew I wanted to use it for this card.  Spellbinder dies are the smaller hearts and sizzix for the "25"!  Of course, I used silver, black and white for the color of the card.

Love making Wedding/Anniversary cards!  The ones I have seen on Splitcoast and Pinterest are just so elegant and gorgeous!  Happy 25th Anniversary to Andrea and Renn!!

Flip Flop Wreath!

Colorful!
I love wearing flip flops in the summer!  Always a good day in flip flops! When I saw these flip flop wreaths on Pinterest last year, I knew I had to make one!  I just got around to do it this past week and found the colorful flip flops at Michael's for only a $1 a pair.  Basically this wreath only cost me about $12 to make.  There are butterflies and ladybugs not to mention the flowers.  Just makes me smile when I look at it.  I saw some flip flop wreaths on Pinterest that used design flip flop which were cute too!  Love more color around the pool area!  Perfect!

Love this!

Happy June!

How cute are these little easel/drawer gift boxes.  I love them and love making them!  I used Graphic45 Typography and French Country collections.  I had a lot of scraps left over from another project I was making and decided to use them up.  Click here for the instructions for this cute little gift box.  It measures 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 when you put the easel part down. You will find all kinds of reasons to make these.

This is one of the projects that I made with Graphic 45 French Country.  This is a bigger drawer which you can get the instructions from Splitcoaststampers under tutorials--drawer box.  Then I just put the easel card on top! This measures 6 x 5 when the easel part is put down.   Love making this!
My inspiration was from this project on Pinterest.  Such a pretty inspiration!!  Hope you try making both of these projects.  Enjoy!
