Favorite Daughter's Birthday

Our daughter's birthday was yesterday and I made this card in a box card for her.  She has a beautiful golden retriever and made a cute dog in a box card. I had him holding a heart. Happy Birthday Lindsey!

On the same day, a good friend also has a birthday and her birthday card is below.  Who doesn't love a pink card with flowers!

I couldn't throw away this beautiful leaf shaped bottle. Friends gave us this bottle with maple syrup and it had to be repurposed. I made it into a vase. I have floral in it but because it is glass you could put real flowers in it too. Love the way it came out.

Surprise 60th!

This past weekend was a lot of fun in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey.  My sister-in-law is turning 60 next month and since some of her sisters  and some of Hal's (my brother) sisters were down for a Patriots vs NY Jets game, Charlotte's daughters gave her a little surprise birthday party.  The folio and card in the above picture were made for Charlotte from Graphic 45 Couture collection and Authenique collection.  I found some pictures to put in the folio and I know Charlotte has a lot of pictures of her daughters, grandchildren and husband to add to it.   I know it is early Charlotte but Happy Birthday to the best sister-in-law!  The weekend was a blast!

Happy June!

How cute are these little easel/drawer gift boxes.  I love them and love making them!  I used Graphic45 Typography and French Country collections.  I had a lot of scraps left over from another project I was making and decided to use them up.  Click here for the instructions for this cute little gift box.  It measures 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 when you put the easel part down. You will find all kinds of reasons to make these.

This is one of the projects that I made with Graphic 45 French Country.  This is a bigger drawer which you can get the instructions from Splitcoaststampers under tutorials--drawer box.  Then I just put the easel card on top! This measures 6 x 5 when the easel part is put down.   Love making this!
My inspiration was from this project on Pinterest.  Such a pretty inspiration!!  Hope you try making both of these projects.  Enjoy!

Pocket Letters for Birthdays

These pocket letters are cool to make.  I made 2 of them for my twin sisters.  Their birthdays were last week and we celebrated today.  This one is for Chris with assorted dies, punches and embellishments. The paper collection is from Simple Stories.  Love using Julie Nutting's doll stamps!

This one is for Connie and again used a Prima Flower, dies, and embellishments.  The paper collection that I used is "The Avenue" which I think is from Bo Bunny.  Happy Birthday Chris & Connie!

Birthday Girl!

Love Julie Nutting's doll stamps!!  This is a perfect doll stamp for my sister-in-law's birthday this weekend!  I used a project life 3 x 4 card "Lookin good" - for the background of the tag and some dies for decorating the card.  The back of the tag is for the sentiment.

Charlotte and my brother, Hal just became grandparents again for the second time to Rosalie Charlotte this summer and she is a cutie.  We had a great time in October visiting with her and family!  We had so much fun shopping and hanging out at the Cheesecake Factory.  Rosalie and big sister, Amelia are smart shoppers for sure!!  Happy Birthday Charlotte!!

Birthday Pocket Letter

Loving these Pocket Letters on Pinterest!  My daughter's birthday is tomorrow so I made her one It is great that I can use Julie Nutting's Prima Doll Stamps too!  I used Lindsey's initials for the middle panels and some school pictures which I have an abundance of!!  The sentiment is in the flap which is in the middle on the right.  Wanted to use some washi tape for the left side but didn't have any that matched.  Gonna look today for some.  It is great that you can use stuff from your stash and paper scraps for this project.  Check out closer pictures below.  Happy Birthday Sweetie!!

Our baby sister got married yesterday!  It was such a beautiful weekend with laughter, happiness and some tears! We are so happy for her and her new husband, Lenny!  Our dad passed away almost 5 years ago now so our brother, Hal gave Adrianne away and Lenny, in all his thoughtfulness. gave her a little locket to put in her bouquet!  We know Dad was with us in spirit!  How wonderful is that!
So perfect!!
Congratulations to the happy couple, Mr & Mrs Denenberg!  God Bless you both!  Just a few pictures of the wedding below and then a pictures of my card for the happy couple!

Spring Stair Step Birthday!

In a couple of days, it will be my sister, Phillis' birthday!!  She will be 55, double nickels!!  I found this picture of her when it was her 17th or 18th birthday.  She is holding a cake in each hand.  The cakes were made by another sister, Andrea and they are Holly Hobby cakes!  I thought they were done professionally but Andrea told me that she made them.  Back then, they were very popular! Great job Andrea!!

This card is a stair step and I added a flap so I could put the picture in it.  Having a lot of fun with this type of stair step cards.  This is about the 3rd or 4th one I have made but this is the first one I made with a  flap. The directions for these cards are in a previous post.  I decorated the card with Die-namics, sizzix, Memory box and Nestabilities dies. Prima flowers were added with a MS butterfly punch.  The paper is from SEI.

Wanted to make the card springy with the flowers, leaves, butterflies and birds.  The birds are stickers.  So happy that here in the Northeast it has gotten so much warmer!! Yesterday it was 68 and today it will be the same!!    Finally Spring has Sprung!!

Here is the front of the card and when it is closed.  I love using the Memory butterfly die with the Prima Flowers!  and the paper is gorgeous!  Happy Birthday little sister, Phillis!!!

Beachy Birthday

Friends of mine from my high school graduating class are all turning 60 this year!  So I have been busy making 60 birthday cards for them.  4 of them rent a beach house in Old Orchard Beach every year and another 4 of us always make a point of spending at least a couple of days with them.  We look forward to their "beach week".  They usually have pretty good weather so we are hoping the same for this summer!!!  The cards that I have made so far have been beachy themes.  This one, of course, are sandals which I had a template for them. So this was just fussy cutting them.  Just added a couple of flowers and some bling.  I thought it was adorable!!  Happy 60th Birthday Julia!!

December Birthdays

Yesterday was Thanksgiving and our family had a wonderful Thanksgiving at my sister's house in Kennebunk, Maine!  Thank you Andrea and Renn for hosting a wonderful dinner!!  We also celebrated our twin sisters' birthday which is December 2nd but we were altogether so it was a  good time to celebrate.   Chris, Connie and I share the same hobby which is papercrafting so I made the card  and got a gift for Chris.  My younger sister, Adrianne, got Connie's gift and card.  The front of the card is from SU's Mixed Bouquet stamp set and the leaves are little leaves from sizzix.  Below is the inside of the card.

I made a trifold card with Graphic 45 botanicals paper collection.   This is such a beautiful collection and I just love it with the blue cardstock.  The dies are from Memory box.

I added a picture of Chris and Connie probably taken around 1968.  I have 6 sisters in all and pictured in front of Chris and Connie are just two other younger sisters Phillis and Andrea.  This, I think, was an Easter Sunday because Phillis and Andrea are wearing hats and that was the only time we wore hats was on Easter when we were growing up.   It was a lot of fun making this card especially when you have such great paper like Graphic 45!!  Happy Birthday Chris and Connie!!!  I hope they noticed that I never mentioned their age!!!

My Uncle Myron turns 80 on December 1st and I also made him a card for his milestone birthday! He lives on the coast in Phippsburg, Maine and has lived there all his life so I did a coast themed birthday card.  The lighthouse stamp is colored with copic markers.  I used Graphic 45, By the Sea paper collection and the embellishments are punches from MS and numbers from Dynamic's.  The compass was punched out with 1-inch round punch and put into a bottle cap.

Below is a picture of the inside of the card with the sentiment.   I just added a sticker with the anchor and seagull from sizzix.  Happy Birthday Uncle Myron!!

Camera Shutter Card

This is a different type of card for me.  Again I saw this card in a tutorial by Frenchie.  I thought it was cute and it reminded me of a camera because of the shutter revealing the sentiment.  So cute! and easy!  The paper that I used escapes me but there are prima flowers and MS punch for the leaf.

It opens like a gatefold card after you take off the belly band.  The sentiment is revealed by just opening the closing the card.  The leaves on the inside are from Spellbinders.  There isn't a lot of room for a long sentiment but you can always put it on the back of the card.  Not sure yet, who will get this card but September is another big month of birthdays in our family. Loved making this card!

Birthday Girl

Love these stamps!
Today is my youngest sister's birthday!!  I love these Julie Nutting's doll stamps!!  I haven't done one of these cards/tags in a while so.....  here it is Adrianne!  Hope you love it!!  The doll stamp is colored with copics and added some lace and, I think, the paper used is Bo Bunny for the background and the doll stamp's skirt.  The clock is also Bo Bunny.  The flower is from Pedal poo and her bag is from K & Company.

Special girl!
Back of the tag is the sentiment and a little flower for Adrianne!!  She just had surgery on her foot so hoping she is able to celebrate tonight!  Happy Birthday Adrianne! Love you tons!!

Up close!

Many Thanks!

Another card in a box but this one is a petite size that will fit in a standard envelope which is always good!.  The other ones I have made are larger and takes anywhere from $.80 to $1.20 for postage depending on the embellishments.  My sister, Chris at callalilystudioblog.blogspot.com told me about this petite size at Tanya Bell blog.  She gives a good tutorial on how to make this smaller version of card in the box.

This card is a thank you to my former boss who moved to New Hampshire and he and his wife sent my husband and I a big box of Honeybells from Florida.  A little bit of Florida during this cold winter is always welcome.  The Honeybells are unbelievable juicy!!!  Love, love, love them!  I remember that they like bird watching and so does my husband so I wanted to make this one with birds. The paper and punches are from SU.  The flowers are from prima.   It won't be long (I hope) before spring will be here! I can't wait for the birds to start singing!! and warm sunshine!!

Christmas Season Birthdays

It has been a very busy holiday season with Thanksgiving and now shopping for Christmas.  I am not one that starts very early because I love the hustle and bustle at this time of year.  But the first of this week, my twin sisters had a birthday so I was busy making cards for them. My mom asked me to make a couple for her to give to them so here is the first one.  Connie likes minions so I made this one for mom to give to her.  They are adorable.  It is punch art and simple.  I saw it on pinterest (where else). Pretty straight forward using nestabilities circles and cuttlebug EF to emboss the bib on the overalls.

Chris has a dressform that she uses for a lot of different things. So I thought the Tim Holtz die would be fun to make a card for her. I used Graphic 45 paper which is another favorite of hers. Added some pearls and a prima flower.  I used sizzix EF to emboss the dressform.  I made this one for mom to give to Chris. Pretty, pretty!!

For both Chris and Connie I made the Pop N cut cards.  This one is for Connie.  A lot of punches and nestabilities for this little minion. Chris' card is SU's cupcake punch.  I used the paper doily for the tablecloth and the pop n cut die is the chair but I just cut off the chair and used the legs.  I am headed back to my craftroom to make my Christmas cards.    Thanks for stopping by.
