Copenhagen, City of Towers
We just got back from Denmark! It is my husband's heritage, his great grandfather was born in Denmark. It has been on his bucket list and now he can check it off! I have been asked since we have gotten back, "would you go back?" My answer is a definite, YES! Denmark, as the title says, is called the city of towers but in my estimation it is also a city of bicycles! The country is very English friendly and the people are so kind and helpful. Denmark is also known for Hans Christian Andersen who is mainly known for "The Little Mermaid" There are statues of him all over Copenhagen.
I think there were more parking spaces for bicycles than cars!
Copenhagen has many museums and castles, not to mention shops and restaurants (were out of this world)! One of the most popular places to visit was Nyhavn which is so scenic! We took a canal tour around the coast of Copenhagen. We had to duck our heads when we went through under some of the bridges as you will see in the pictures below:
We saw the changing of the guard at Amalienborg Palace just as we were walking around the city. It is a very walkable city and we did walk 20,000 steps in one day and close to it the other days. Such a wonderful and memorable trip! I feel so lucky to have experienced it with my family.

Eclipse Day
Today is eclipse day and my husband and I were lucky to get the eclipse glasses from a neighbor who was so generous in letting us have the extra pair of glasses that they had. It was a beautiful sight to see. Thank you so much Meyer family!
We are leaving tomorrow for Denmark so I wanted to share a couple of wooden cigar boxes that I have been working on for the past couple of weeks. The first one is from Graphic 45's Couture paper collection. It is a gorgeous collection
The inside of the box I made a pocket and put a card in it so it can be given as a gift if so desired to do so. For the second cigar box I used Graphic 45's Enchanted Forest another beautiful collection. I also made a pocket inside the box but haven't made the card yet but will do so for the same reason. I need to give a shout out to my brother-in-law for saving these cigar boxes for my sisters and I to decorate and sell. Thank you so much Lenny!!

Happy April
Love these triple diamond cards! They fold up and can be put in a 5x7 envelope. This style is so great for displaying your card especially for a big occasion like this one! Lenny's 60th birthday! I have made them before and below is a picture of a couple other ones I have made for friend's birthday!
My DIY project that I recent made is great for a centerpiece for special occasions. I saw this on Pinterest and got the frames from the Dollar Tree. The pictures that I used are Maine lighthouses. I'm thinking of adding feet to the bottom just to elevate it a little, but not sure yet.
