End of July Birthdays

This style card is a pop out middle panel card. It is all about scoring. Love how it turned out with Graphic 45's Couture paper collection. Happy Birthday Adrianne!

Another beautiful Graphic 45 paper collection called Typography which might be retired at this point. It's another birthday card which is a variation of the tri-shutter card. Love the accordion in the middle of the card. This style card closes up perfectly to mail it. Happy Birthday Joni!

Lastly, the flying seagull card. It is fun how the center panel pops out when the card opens. Another Graphic 45's paper collection called Ocean Blue  which I have used so much for cards.  Such a fun style card to make and I think it has a "Wow" factor to it. Happy Birthday Mary!

Three different style cards which can be found on youtube with their tutorials. Thank you for stopping by and checking out these cards.

Summer Celebrations

July as well as August are busy birthdays and anniversaries celebrations! This card is for my sister and her husband.  The focus is on butterflies which I have seen all around my yard. They are loving the coneflowers! Happy Anniversary Chris & Tom!

This style card was a fun card to make. It is a Quadruple Z-fold card. I have seen the tutorial on youtube for a couple of different people and thought I would give it a try. Love finding new fun folds especially when there is plenty of room to put your sentiments. This one happens to be a "thank you" for a friend. I used the Ocean Blue Graphic 45's collection and also By the Sea collection.

Thank you for stopping by and I have to leave you with some summer fun! We now have a petting zoo in our pool!

Viking River Cruise Trip

My husband and I have been home for a month since our Viking Cruise. We have been looking at our photos and trying to decide which ones to put in a scrapbook. Since we went with my brother in law and his girlfriend, I'm going to make one for them too! It was a wonderful trip! We were suppose to take this trip back in May of 2020 with 4 other couples but, of course, Covid happened and so it was cancelled. I am so happy to say it was worth the wait! The above map is the ports that we stopped and had tours in each of them.

We arrived in Amsterdam a couple of days before we got on the boat and went on a Canal Tour, visited the Ryijks Museum (which we spent most of the day there), and also the "Red Light District".

When we got on the ship, we had unpacked and then had a great dinner on board. Took some photos as we pulled away from Amsterdam. Our first port in the morning would be Kinderdijk. We saw the windmills of the Netherlands. Our tour guide was a local and he was fabulous!

The next day we docked in Mannheim, Germany and took a tour of the Cathedral of Cologne. It was pretty spectacular!

Our next port was Koblenz, Germany in the morning and then Rudesheim late in the afternoon. On Sunday we docked in Speyer, Germany and did a walking tour of the city.

Monday morning we were up early to head to Strasbourg, France to tour the city especially the Notre Dame Cathedral. The universal clock was really amazing!

Tuesday was our last full day on the boat and we docked in Breisach. We took a tour of the Black Forest . It was a 1 1/2 hour bus ride through the countryside and  was able to visit a small village with glass blowing and cuckoo clocks galore.

The next day we disembarked and spent the night in Basel, Switzerland after enjoying an Ethiopian dinner in a restaurant not far from our hotel.  It was an amazing meal. Loved that we could use our hands which is very traditional.

Thursday morning we headed to the train station and took a high speed train to Hamburg, Germany.  The train was very comfortable and it was so smooth for a speed of 156 mph. There were stops along the way so it wasn't the fast the entire way. When we got to Hamburg we checked into our hotel and had dinner in the hotel which was terrific!

Friday, we took a harbor cruise in Hamburg and had a dinner in a pizza restaurant. It was a great way to end an amazing trip. We said good bye to Sandy and Linda and headed to the airport Saturday morning. It was going to be a long trip home. Hamburg to Amsterdam and then Amsterdam to Boston. I think this trip just about every mode of transportation. Starting with a bus ride, airplane, canal boat, river boat, uber cards, and train! I think the only thing we didn't do was helicopter. I would definitely do another one of these river cruises. There was nothing that we didn't like!!!
