Easter Box!

Today I am mailing an Easter surprise for my son and his girlfriend who live in a "hot spot" for the coronavirus, San Francisco area.  I worry about them but my son calls or texts pretty regularly to keep us informed about how they are doing.   Everyone at this point needs their spirits lifted, right!!! I made this drop down box from Mixed Up Crafts for them.  Here is some pictures of the inside of the box.  Graphic 45, Secret Garden is the collection I used for this. I only had a few papers left so I used them up and it is a good springtime collection.

Here is the tutorial that Sam from Mixed up crafts did.  She does a wonderful job explaining this project.    https://www.pinterest.com/pin/34832597107643332/

Also in the Easter Box, I made a quilted tabletop runner for their dining room table.  Eric likes quilted things so I thought this would be cool for them. Sabrina is also a craft girl and thought she would get a kick out of it too.

Lastly, I have been keeping busy in my craftroom and I made these two thank you cards for my daughter who has been out of work for 3 weeks because she works in a restaurant.  Some of her regulars have sent her tips during this hard time which was so sweet of them. I thought it would be a nice gesture to send them a thank you card. One of them is a dance teacher and the other one loves golfing.

I just want to say to everyone, things will get better.  Please stay safe and stay away from one another, we will get through this.  God doesn't give us things that we can't handle.  We can do this!  God bless you all!

First Spring Birthday Card

Accordion Card

Folded this will be the front
I haven't made a card like this in a long time so I thought it was time!  My friend, Julia, likes to display cards so I thought an accordion card would be a good one for her.  Another technique, that I haven't done in a long time, is Elizabeth Craft's glitter stickers.  The cupcakes are colored with copic markers.  The design paper is from Graphic 45's Bloom collection which is another beautiful collection!  The flower is from Graphic 45 also.  Happy Birthday Julia!

Last weekend my husband and I hosted a St Patrick's Day dinner, of course, corned beef and cabbage!  I have to show you the favors I made and also below is the wreath that I found at the dollar store.  I added the foam and glitter sticker to the front of the wreath.  It was Lynne's birthday  so we also celebrated her birthday with her favorite cake, white on buttercream frosting!  The guys didn't want to do pictures so just the girls!  We love the glasses, hats and beads and we love St Patrick's Day!  Last weekend maybe our last dinner party for a while, everyone is doing their part being social distant!  Please stay healthy everyone and hope that this virus passes quickly!

For the front door!

Love the glasses!

Happy Birthday Lynnie!

Marching into March!

Our good friend's birthday was yesterday and we are getting on a plane tomorrow to go and visit them in Florida!  I am all packed and ready to go!  I made this birthday card for her.  She loves her gardens, both flowers and vegetables so I had to make her a card with flowers on their fence!

In addition to the card, I also made a mini file folder album for her with pictures of her grandsons in it. There is plenty of room for her to add more pictures but I did steal some pictures from  her facebook page and her daughter-in-law's facebook page.  Her grandsons are so adorable; it was definitely hard to pick which pictures to use but below is a sample of some of the pages.   I used graphic 45 paper collection, Mother Goose.  This little mini album uses only 3 file folders.  If you want the link to it, let me know, I will definitely find it for you.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Leap Day!

This past week craft day was at my sister's house in Kennebunk. Andrea and I made more of these
cute little purses.  She had the flamingo & wine fabric which I had to make right away.  Because St Patrick's Day is coming up, I had some fabric perfect for that.  Here is the tutorial I used for the measurements but instead of double sided paper, I used fabric with double sided tape to attach to the cardstock.    I think I want to add some charms to the side of the purse to hang down, purse jewelry! Easy to make even when you don't have the die.  I think I posted the link before but here it is again for you to make.                  https://www.pinterest.com/pin/34832597107702030/

St Patrick's Clovers

Wine, Wine and more Wine!
The top flap I did make a little bigger than what she showed in the tutorial. Mine measures 3 1/2 x 4 and I used an oval die to cut the front. The handle measures 1/2 x 7 inches.  I love the way these came out. I think we may sell them at our next craft fair.

Happy Birthday Emily!

My friend's granddaughter's birthday is tomorrow so I made her a Frozen themed birthday card.  She along with a lot of little girls just love Frozen!  Olaf, Elsa and Ana are her favorite Disney characters. I found pictures on Pinterest and did my best to use punches to make Elsa and Ana's dresses and Olaf!   Using this accordion style, worked out great to show off each character.  Check out some more pictures below to get a closer look of each panel of her card. Happy Birthday Emily!

Happy Valentine's Day

This week has been a busy week making favors for a Valentine's Day dinner tonight at a friend's house.  I made and decorated cookies for these totes to give to the men and I made these little fabric purses for the ladies!  I will link the tutorial I saw on Pinterest for the purses but I made them a little different because I didn't have the die for the purse.  It would have been easier for sure with the die but ....  I made my own templates.
I used hoop and loop closures for the purses and filled with Lindt chocolates. Check out the tutorial below if you are interested in making them.

Lastly, I made this card for my husband. It is a retired Stampin up set - such a beautiful set! I have been die cutting a lot lately and wanted to do some stamping.

My Valentine!
