Medicare Birthday

I thought my brother would get a kick out of this card! He turned 65 yesterday so I made him a "Happy Medicare Birthday" card! It is an accordion/trifold style card. Check out a few more pictures of this card below.

Birthday Cards & Projects

These 2 cards are for very good friends birthday which is this Thursday. They are twins and, believe me, it is easier to make the same card but I didn't do that because they are twins. We have been friends since the age of 9. Flowers and bees are summertime themes for birthday cards which is what I did here. The flower card is a double Z fold and the bee card is made with Tim Holtz stencil and paste to make the hive. My sisters and I are getting ready for a craft fair that we are doing in Kennebunk on August 14th. Here are a few projects that I have finished this week.

I might have showed these "Welcome" & "Hello" signs before but I love making them with pizza tins from the Dollar Store! Enjoy your day!

Botanical Tea Card

Love using my scraps for making cards and especially Graphic 45 paper scraps. Graphic 45's collections are so beautiful, you want to use every scrap you have! Bridge cards are fun to make with a different border at the top of the card. This card is a Get Well Card for a neighbor who had a bad fall in her house and had to be hospitalized for surgery. She has been through a lot and praying she has a speedy recovery! I have been working on our home decor line for our craft fair that we are hoping to have in August and below are a few items that are for sale! Home Decor Items

Along with papercrafting, I have been working on home decor items. My sisters and I are planning on doing an open house later in the summer and here are some projects that I have finished and are up for sale. My sister, Andrea, has already purchased one of the photo frame/recipe holders! I actually kept one for myself. The riser I just completed last week and I am using it for a get together. The wooden pocket holder with flowers is a favorite. Love using the IOD script stamp for the background! Here is a picture of just some of the stuff that will be for sale.

Anniversary, Birthday & Retirement

This gatefold card is an Anniversary card with Heartfelt Creations dies. I used some stickers that I had in my stash from Michael's for the embellishments. My sister and her husband are celebrating their 6th year Anniversary today! Happy Anniversary to those two love birds!

My brother-in-law's birthday is this month and I thought I would use my Graphic 45 collection-Come away with me! He is getting close to retiring so travel should be in his future. Love making the Building Block style cards. WISH BIG! is the sentiment for Cary! Happy Birthday Cary!

This is a M Fold card. It was a fun style card to make and it was perfect for our good friend, Brian. He retired last week and now is working 3 days a week for his son at a marijuana growing facility. I didn't have any marijuana stamps so I printed it off the internet! Stampin Up had the perfect paper for the background. I love the saying on it that says "Your career has gone to pot"! So happy in his retirement he gets to work with his son and daughter-in-law! We had a fun day last week going to the Botanical Gardens in Boothbay Maine to see the trolls. They did give you a map but you had to find them on your own, no signs on the trail for them. The flowers that were in bloom were gorgeous! Be prepared to do some walking and some of the trails were steep but there were shuttles for people. My husband and I even saw people in wheelchairs! The trails are wide so it did accomodate them but for the people pushing them it was a workout! It was a gorgeous day and I was glad we got to go!

Birthday Chickens

Our neighbor's daughter has a birthday tomorrow and last fall they got chickens. Caroline's dad made a small chicken coop. She loves animals so I made her a chicken card. She told me that she may want to be a vet for a career path. She is turning 10 years old! I followed Sam's tutorial from Mixed up Crafts. She does single, double and triple swing cards. This is a 5x7 card and I found all the sayings on Pinterest. I love the sizzix chicken I put on the back of the card. Happy Birthday Caroline!

Oceanside Diorama

Love using all my sea/ocean dies! Living in Maine it is a popular theme for birthday cards especially summer birthdays! The Diorama style is fun to do too! This one is for a friend's birthday in a couple of weeks. The paper collection is the Beachhouse from DCWV.

My sister's and I are also making Farmhouse/Shabby Chic items for a craft show that we are going to do this fall. Here are a few items that I have been busy working on to finish up. The IOD stamps and moulds are great to use on these items that I changed up and had around the house.
