Last Day of the Year 12-31-23
This was last years NYE picture that we celebrated! We are going to do it again this year! Again this year our dear friend, Carlene, will not be with us to celebrate as she is with her son and his family in Indiana. Happy New Year Carlene! I wanted to show everyone the favor I made for tonights festivities. I made the champagne bottle from Cricut Access. I just added the little box on the back with some Lindt's chocolate and fireball nip for each of us. The champagne bottle measures about 9 inches tall and the box on the back is 2 1/2 x 2 inches. We have some fun accesories for the party tonight and I'll post some pictures tomorrow. We will see her next year! Happy 2024 everyone!

Anniversary #43
My husband and I celebrated our 43rd Anniversary on the 27th of December. We had a nice dinner out with our daughter. It was a nice evening and delicious food! Just a quick post to show the card that I made for my husband.
This is a variation of a gatefold card with tabs to close it. I used Graphic 45 paper collection and dies for the happy anniversary. Sizzix champagne glasses were used for the images inside the card. I love how this card turned out.

Merry Christmas!
Here we are! Christmas weekend and everything is done except the cooking and some baking. We had our family Christmas celebration last weekend which was so fun! It will be a quiet Christmas Day this year with just my husband and daughter but it will be lovely and the weather will be terrific! Especially after this past week's storm, I feel terrible that so many towns mostly north of us have had devastating loss from the wind, rain and flooding.
I did make a card for my hairdresser who always gets a kick out of my cards! He is the best! It is a gatefold with some closures.
One more card was for my brother-in-law's birthday. I love it when I can incorporate a photo in a card. This picture is from this summer at our 4th of July party in our pool. I had to use it for his birthday! It is hard to see in the picture but it is a pop up style card.
Also I wanted to share a photo of my daughter's pup, Ollie. He is not impressed with our Christmas tree...
Lastly, the reason for the season! Love my nativity set!

Christmas Cards 2023
My Christmas cards for this year have all been sent! There are a nativity scene this year. The style is a cascade, accordion card. I used gold, copper and silver foil for the nativity dies. The sentiment is from Stampin up and a lot of the paper is from Graphic 45. When my cards are sent out, it always feels like Christmas! Still have some shopping to do but mostly stocking stuffers.
I made a Hanukkah card for my daughter in law's parents. It was made with my cricut from cricut access. The menorrah came out perfect. Love how it came out. Happy Hannukkah!

Post Thanksgiving Birthday
This is a variation of a trifold card. I made it for my husband brother's girlfriend who is quite an artist. Her birthday is tomorrow and I wanted to make a personal card just for her. They were here in October visiting from Washington State. It was a lot of fun especially showing Sandy's girlfriend how to eat lobster and clams. I made part of the card with my cricut. This style card gives you a lot of room for a sentiment which is on the back of the card. Below is a picture of the 4 of us having some Maine lobster and "steamers"! It was a terrific visit with them! Happy Birthday Linda!!
My sisters and I are making these Santa/Gingerbread houses. They are 9 inches in height and 6 inches wide. You can put candy or a gift inside the house. I found a template on Pinterest and then just adjusted the sides. Loving how this can out!
The holidays will be here before you know it! Time to decorate!

First Snowfall!
Yesterday was our first snowfall for the 2023-2024 season. There was only a coating but it is always so pretty!
I have been busy in my craft room. I made a birthday card for friends and relatives. Here is a box card and yes he does like golf.
This card is a 4 panel pop out card for my sister-in-law. I love putting pictures in cards.
Wanted to show this last picture of Ollie, our granddog. This picture shows a little fall and a little winter and a great subject matter! Ollie even posed for the picture on a walk.

Happy Halloween!
My husband and I decorated this wishing well in the front of our house for our "Trick or Treaters" to enjoy tonight! We have a spotlight on this little scene. Our next door neighbors have a cementery in their little garden out in front of their house. Our neighborhood is having fun with Halloween!
Here is the treats for tonights little goblins. Love decorating these little boxes for Halloween. We don't have a lot of kids but enough to keep me busy for the past week.Happy Halloween everyone!

October's Celebrations
This has been a busy month making cards for a first anniversary for my son and daughter in law, birthdays and also making posters for my 50th class reunion! The month is almost gone and I'm just finishing up a wedding album also for my son and daughter in law. We had the East Coast celebration back in August so I had to add those pictures to the album. I am happy to say that I have finished it and will be mailing it to them just in time for Halloween! LOL! Here is the first of 3 cards. It is the first anniversary card which I think is an accordian pop out panel card. I used Graphic 45 Bloom paper collection. The rose is a die from Elizabeth Craft, which is gorgeous. Happy 1st Anniversary to Mr & Mrs Eric Petersen! Love you guys!
My second card is for my son's 40th birthday which was on October 12th. This is a 4 panel pop out card. I have made this style card before and I love how I could put pictures of him on some of the panels. Happy 40th Eric! Hugs!
My third card is for a dear friend and he is a hard worker and occasionally we play cards with he and his wife. This style card is a variation of a trifold card. Love the sentiment, "No matter how you shuffle the deck, you are always a winner". Happy Birthday Donald!
Here are a few pictures of our reunion from last weekend. The posters that I made with friends. I used dies and my cricut for decorating. We were very proud of how the "In Loving Memory" poster came out. It was a fun celebration and we had a terrific turn out! It was so great to reconnect with old friends.
The cake looked great too!
