Baseball Explosion Birthday!

My brother's birthday isn't until  next month but he was visiting last week and my sisters and I didn't want to mail this to him.  It is an explosion box with a baseball theme!  My sisters and I were at a SeaDogs game in Portland Maine and they were handing out stress baseballs.  So this idea came from going to a baseball game.

The paper is from graphic 45 - Gentlemen's collection and also from Good Ole Sport collection.  I had a Jolee baseball glove in my stash which was perfect for the stress ball!  In each pocket  of the explosion box is a sentiment from us.  I love this paper and as usual with Graphic 45, it makes the project beautiful!

The top of the box are cut outs of Graphic 45's Good Ole Sport with sizzix bat that says "Have a ball"!  My sisters and I got together to make this box for our brother which I think came out pretty good!  Happy Birthday Brother!!

Bendi-Fold Card

I saw this card on pinterest and watched the tutorial on splitcoast on how to make this new type of card.  Please check out this tutorial by Bibiana.  She does a great job showing how it is done. I used Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourish for the very front with some small little flowers.  Memory box dies for the bird, branch and leaves as well as the tree in the inner most fold.  I wanted to put a cat or dog running in the field but I didn't have one but that will have to be my next purchase.  MS punch for the fence with more flowers. Check out below for more pictures of the inside of the card and the sentiment for a Happy Birthday to someone special.  It is great because it does fold down and fits into a 4 3/4 x 6 1/2 envelope. A Camping Birthday

My son who is an avid outdoorsman has a birthday coming up in a couple of weeks.  He is actually camping this week before he starts his new job with Mountain Hardware in California.  The side step cards is a lot of fun to make and decorate and seemed perfect for this camping/hiking birthday card. 

The tent I did free-hand just making a triangle.  I cut up the middle and folded back the flap to make the opening to the tent.  I used eyelets with string to make it look like the door was tied open.   The flame is the bird punch with the word window punch for the logs.  (Better picture below) I used sizzix for the trees, the ladybug, grass and the bee.  Jolee's dimensional stickers were used for the hiking boots, hiking trail sign and canteen. I sponged the tent, sun and flame to give more dimension. Check out some pictures below for better viewing.  I hope he likes it!!! Thanks for stopping by!
