January 2024!

My daughter asked me to make a couple of Winter/Thank you cards for her manager and owner of the restaurant where she works. They are having their holiday party next week! She wanted a place for gift cards so I just added a pocket on the inside of the card.

I used Stampin up set for the images and some snowflakes from Martha Stewart punch. Now I'm ready for the next holiday, Valentine's Day!! Here are some pictures over the holiday season!

Angels Watching!

I am so proud of myself! My first Dreaming Tree project that I was able to download and put together! I have made 5 of them! They are so much fun to make! I have seen a bunch of them on Dreaming Tree Facebook page and they are all so beautiful. Love how they like up with just a tealight or little fairy lights work. I have given them away as gifts and also have sold 2 of them. Here are a few more pictures of the ones I have made.

Today is a perfect day to get some things done in the house. Here in the Northeast it is freezing rain with some light snow on and off. We have had snow but not much so far this winter. The rain and warm temperatures have melted the snow and now just waiting for the next snowfall!

It is very pretty looking out the window but glad I don't have to drive in it! Happy New Year everyone!

Tilda is back!!

I haven't used my Magnolia stamps in quite a while so I used them for this birthday card.  So happy that I did this because they are all so darn cute!  This card is for a high school friend's birthday who does so much for service men and women that the sentiment is sooooo appropriate for her.  I love this style card because it gives you so many panels to decorate--just perfect.  I think this is called a trifold accordion card, at least that is what I am calling it.  I also decorated the other side and I will show the opposite side in the picture below.

I also wanted to show you my last project for 2018 which is a Bookatrix from Mixedup crafts.  She does a wonderful job with all of her tutorials that I will also put the link for this type of card.  Like her, I made a Christmas one but it is would be fun for any celebration. I put it on a wooden stand but she also shows you how to make a stand/easel and an envelope for this project.  The paper collection, I used, is from Photoplay.

 Just a few pictures of our New Year together with my husband, son, daughter and my son's girlfriend, Sabrina out in San Francisco, Oakland and Bodega Bay!   Oh, and I can't forget Oscar, Eric's cute little dog. Just a little tidbit, Bodega Bay is where Alfred Hitchcock filmed most of the "The Birds" movie thriller.  Eric and Sabrina made us dinner one night with Dungeness Crab, shrimp, scallops, and mussels called Cioppino.  We had a wonderful time with them!  They were such good tour guides visiting where Sabrina works and visiting Napa Valley and the Pacific Coast Highway.  I can see why there are so many surfers in California, they waves are just unbelievable.  We don't have these waves in Maine, unless there is a storm.  Happy New Year everyone!!

Happy 2018!

So here we are again with the group picture for the 17 or 18 time, celebrating together!  These guys make New Year's Eve so much fun!  We always have to have the party favors, hats and, of course, the glasses!!!  This year was all about the frames with embellishments to hold.  Anna always finds the cutest things for the party!  I know I am a little late posting these pictures but Happy New Year Everyone!

Since our Wedding Anniversary is on December 27th, I have to show the cards that my sisters made for us.  They are very lovely and I hate to put them away.  I love the colors and the beautiful dies that Chris and Connie used which were from Heartfelt Creations--so beautiful!  Thanks again Chris & Tom and Connie & Russ!!
