Recycling & Repurpose

My sisters and I have been doing a recycling/reopurposing thing since last winter. Here are a couple of items that I have purchased at Goodwill recently and transformed them. I bought this bread box for $8.50 and then repainted and added new knobs, stencil from Cricut and transfers. I love it and I am keeping it. Love it! Just makes me happy!! Love IOD transfers so much!
The black knobs, I think, really make a difference!
This winter scene wooden tray, I got at Goodwill too for $3.00. I painted it with chalk paint. It took 2 coats of paint and then added IOD transfers again. I think it is beautiful. Thinking of keeping this one too! Came out great!
Thanks for stopping by!

End of Summer Fun!

We have had a lot of fun celebrating birthdays, Labor Day weekend and my son, Eric and Sabrina's engagement not to mention a couple of craft fairs that my sisters and I have done. Below is the card I made for my daughter's birthday. She loves watermelon! I think this is my second slimline card. Fun size and style to do! Happy Birthday Lindsey!
Another birthday card below is for a friend's granddaughter who also is a Virgo! The 4 panel pop up card with the panda bears is so adorable!
Now the fun pictures! Labor Day Celebration with friends-these lobsters were 2 1/2 lbs! I haven't had one this big in a long, long time, if ever?!!!
Eric & Sabrina visiting from California and have set their wedding date for next Spring! It was so great to see them because it has been almost 2 years since we have seen them in person!
Last but not least Ollie's first birthday! Here he is with one of his presents! Love his expression! Tomorrow is the last day of summer, here comes fall! Yay!

End of Summer Wedding!

What a beautiful wedding! I will show some pictures below but wanted to first show the card I made for my dear friend for 55+years! Becca Feeken from Amazing Grace/Spellbinders die makes such a beautiful card! So happy I was able to use it again for this special occasion! I used silver glitter paper for the background. Just love it! Here are a few pictures of the wedding that was in Narragansett, Rhode Island just before Hurricane Henri hit there. Perfect day before the storm!
So happy for this wonderful couple! Love their wedding cake that is showing their "babies", Jade and Holly! Such a great weekend - did leave a little early because of Henri but the wedding was perfect! It was just how she wanted it, outside! Congratulations again Mary & Tom!

August Birthdays Continue

Our friends bought a RV camper this past May and they are having a great time with it. They have taken their grandsons to North Conway camping at National Park camping grounds. I made this card for Dennis' birthday on August 14th using punch art and making an easel card. It is amazing what you can make with punches! Happy Birthday Dennis
Staying with the easel theme, this card is for my brother in law, Tom. His favorite activity is golfing but I have made him a couple of golfing cards so I thought this year to go with a traditional card--Birthday Cake!!! Happy Birthday Tom!
My sister, Andrea's birthday is tomorrow so I made her a double Z-fold card and used Grace's Garden stamp and die set from SU. I thought of this when I was at her house this summer and I saw that she and her husband put up an arbor. Love this stamp set! Happy Birthday Andrea! Lastly, I just wanted to show some photos of our craft fair that we had in Kennebunk, Maine last weekend. It was so hot and humid that there wasn't a great turn out but we did okay for the number of people that did come. Kuddo's to everyone that made it! Kennebunk is a beautiful place!

Summer Birthdays

These pinwheel tower cards are very impressive, in that, they stand so nice for display and fold easily for mailing. There is lots of room for decorating. I made this one for a good friend whose birthday was at the end of July and was able to decorate it a lot so I just handed it to her. I have seen a lot of them on Pinterest and they are all so pretty. The DP that I used is from Stampin up with dies for a lot of different companies. Below are more pictures of the card from different angles.
Folded flat for mailing.
Our neighbor, Julia, had her 8th birthday this week. She is a fan of mermaids and unicorns. Made this shaker card for her. This stamp/die set is from Stampin up. Happy Birthday Julia!

Medicare Birthday

I thought my brother would get a kick out of this card! He turned 65 yesterday so I made him a "Happy Medicare Birthday" card! It is an accordion/trifold style card. Check out a few more pictures of this card below.
My sisters and I have been busy getting ready for our craft fair in Kennebunk on the 14th of August. Here are a few more projects that I have completed. It was fun decorating the lighthouses. The smaller lighthouse was a lot different before I put it on a candlestick and painted it. Here is a picture of it before...

Birthday Cards & Projects

These 2 cards are for very good friends birthday which is this Thursday. They are twins and, believe me, it is easier to make the same card but I didn't do that because they are twins. We have been friends since the age of 9. Flowers and bees are summertime themes for birthday cards which is what I did here. The flower card is a double Z fold and the bee card is made with Tim Holtz stencil and paste to make the hive. My sisters and I are getting ready for a craft fair that we are doing in Kennebunk on August 14th. Here are a few projects that I have finished this week.
I might have showed these "Welcome" & "Hello" signs before but I love making them with pizza tins from the Dollar Store! Enjoy your day!
