File Folder Album

For some reason I like making mini albums with file folders.  I think it is so creative plus there isn't as much cutting except to layer the album pages.  The paper collection is from Bo Bunny called Juliet which I have pretty much usedit all with the other projects that I have done this fall.  The video for this cute file folder album is below.  Try it out, it is really easy and fun to do!

Here are some more pictures of the inside and the back of the album.  You can stand it up too!

Additionally, I made a sympathy card  and I used Tim Holtz's dies and Stampin up dies and paper. This was a simple but very pretty card.  Love Stampin up flower die - really makes this card!

Campfire Birthday!

"Take a Hike" paper collection by Bo Bunny was the perfect paper for this birthday card for my son's birthday.  His birthday is today! He loves to hike and camp where he lives in California and what a perfect place to explore.  This is a 4-panel, pop up card!  Mostly used stickers from the sticker sheet that came with the collection and a sizzix tree die on the inside of the card.

Love the way it came out and I hope he does too!  Eric just got a rescue puppy this past weekend and named him, Oscar!  Can't wait to meet him in person.  Oscar is part black lab, shepherd and boxer.  Happy Birthday to you, Eric!  Love you!

Pocket Letters for Birthdays

These pocket letters are cool to make.  I made 2 of them for my twin sisters.  Their birthdays were last week and we celebrated today.  This one is for Chris with assorted dies, punches and embellishments. The paper collection is from Simple Stories.  Love using Julie Nutting's doll stamps!

This one is for Connie and again used a Prima Flower, dies, and embellishments.  The paper collection that I used is "The Avenue" which I think is from Bo Bunny.  Happy Birthday Chris & Connie!

Cupid and Hearts

Here is our Valentine's Day card for my son.  It is going in the mail tomorrow.  My sister, Chris, made a tent card for her Christmas cards this year and I thought they were so cute.  Really easy to make which is always a plus!! It is hard to see in this picture but the heart with cupid, which is from Impression Obsession, is hanging from a string.  You will be able to see it better in the picture below.

It is like a little shadow box and I love that it can stand so well.  This card measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 so it fits fine in a standard envelope.  You can actually  make it any size you want.

The sentiment is on the back of the card with a red glitter bow! Happy Valentine's Day Eric!  and
Thank you Chris for the idea!!!

Happy Home!

It has taken a year for my boss and his family to build a new home.  We are going to a post Christmas Party for our office at their new home.  Can't wait to see it!  I made this pop up house card for them. The front of the card is a fence from SU hardwood stamp.  First time I have used the stamp and I love it.  It seems very authentic!  Grass is from Die-namics, flowers are SU and the pot is a sizzix die.

Love this house pop up card from Sizzix and Karen Burniston.  The color of his house is beige with a red, in-law apartment in the back. This a lot of fun to make.  The tree in the back is from Elizabeth Craft dies.  Best Wishes to the Donnelly's!!

Halloween Hospitality

I saw this card on pinterest and wanted to make it for  my brother and his wife.  They have been for the last 3 or 4 years been hosting us and other family members so that the guys can go to a football game at the Metlife Stadium.  This year the NY Jets played the Washington Redskins.  Even though we are Patriot's fans, the guys love tailgating and "football fever".  The girls go shopping which I think we get the better deal.  We had a blast! By the way, the Jets won.

Since this year it was just before Halloween, I had to make them a Halloween Thank you!! The accordion style ghost was easy to make.  When you can add "googly eyes" to anything it is always fun!  Below is the front of the card which is a sizzix bat die. This was such a cute card and I hope they like it!  Thanks again you guys and Happy Halloween!!

Halloween Pop up

I made this Halloween card for my son.  Saw a few of these pop up cards on pinterest and really liked how they fold inward when closed.  The square insert measures 6x6 and scored at 3 turn once and score again at 3, then score on one of the diagonals right across.  I really love using my Martha Stewart spider web border, very cool punch!!   Check out the front of the card below...

The stamp that I used is an old stamp set from Stampin up.  It is actually one of the first stamp sets I bought at a Stampin up party.  I colored it a little with copic markers and added sizzix spider, ghost and skeleton!  Spooky!!  Halloween is a fun holiday and even more fun to make cards!!!
Happy  Halloween Eric!!

Easter Bunny Card

Loving this type of stair step card! I made this one for a dear, dear friend who is going have surgery next week and was thinking of her.  I know she will do fine but it can be hard when you are in the hospital over a holiday, no matter what holiday it is.  This is the second card that I have made for Easter and I just love making them.  This type of card is my new favorite one.  The paper is so pretty from Bo Bunny which is so appropriate since I decorated the card with bunnies, bunnies, bunnies!!  The bunny die is from Die-namics as well as the Easter basket.  It is hard to see but the Easter basket has embossing lines in it which makes it a more finished look.  The eggs in the basket are actually the balloon punch from Martha Stewart.  The tulips are punch art with the bird punch from SU.  The link to make this card is on my earlier post to this one.  This is Palm Sunday coming up and then next week is Easter!!  Happy Easter everyone!!

2014 Christmas Cards

I had every intention of starting my Christmas cards this fall but the time just flies by and before I knew it, it was the "last minute".  My husband and I went to Florida last week to visit his 96 year old aunt, my sister and some friends.  It was a busy vacation but so much fun!!  The weather was pretty good.  80 degrees the first day at a craft fair and then was high 60's, low 70's which is still fine with me.  We live in Maine and it was 18 degrees here one day that we were away!  In the picture above was the first type of Christmas cards I made with the trees from SU and below is the second type that I made with the ornament dies and stamp set from SU.

Each card I made was different.  I either used different background paper or different dies in the background of the cards.  Sometimes I embossed the background and sometimes I didn't.  Most of the items I used were from SU but I also used Spellbinders dies, and cuttlebug embossing folders.  I made 40 cards this year which is about the amount I make every year.  Love the little pearl in the middle of the ornament!! Check out the 3D ornament below!  Thanks for stopping by!

Love these SU dies and stamp set!
3D ornament is fun to make!

Birthday Girl

Love these stamps!
Today is my youngest sister's birthday!!  I love these Julie Nutting's doll stamps!!  I haven't done one of these cards/tags in a while so.....  here it is Adrianne!  Hope you love it!!  The doll stamp is colored with copics and added some lace and, I think, the paper used is Bo Bunny for the background and the doll stamp's skirt.  The clock is also Bo Bunny.  The flower is from Pedal poo and her bag is from K & Company.

Special girl!
Back of the tag is the sentiment and a little flower for Adrianne!!  She just had surgery on her foot so hoping she is able to celebrate tonight!  Happy Birthday Adrianne! Love you tons!!

Up close!

Valentine Hearts

I can't stop making these card in a box cards. Already started on my Valentine's Day cards for this year!  I used glitter and shiny red paper for the hearts as well as design paper and it is a combination of a lot of different lines. The hearts are spellbinders and MS punch. I still want to make another card in the box for a thank you card.  Still more pictures below.

Another Birthday for Cindy!

This is a perfect card for my good, good friend, Cindy!  Her birthday is tomorrow but my sisters Chris and Connie and I helped her celebrate a little early with lunch at Ruby Tuesday this past Tuesday!  (Hey I just realized we were at Ruby Tuesday's on Tuesday!)  She is in love with Donald Duck and when I saw this card on pinterest I had to make it!  There wasn't any instructions because you had to purchase them and I didn't have time so I did my best to guess at the punches!  I used all SU punches.  I first started with the ornament punch for the base (or head in the background). The eyes were all oval punches and I sponged a little soft sky ink around the pupils which is the word window punch. The beak is the wide oval punch cut down a little to make the beak.  The side cheek is the small oval punch.  The hat is the heart punch and the tab I made myself.  The brim of the hat behind his head I think I used the oval punch or the word window that I had to cut down a little bit. The inside sentiment reads "Hope you have a Ducky Birthday".

Here is Cindy's birthday gift!  Pink is her favorite color and I can see why because it looks beautiful on her. Cindy,  pink is your color for sure! and looks great with her shirt!! Check out below some pictures of Cindy with her "boyfriend" at DisneyWorld!!!

Cindy and Donald, they boyfriend!

A kiss goodbye!

"Love you much"

This is the Valentine's Day card I made for my mom!  I love the background paper it reminds me of the little conversational hearts.  I don't have the name of the paper but I think it is Bo Bunny but I could be wrong.  The cascading hearts are from Memory box  and the sentiment hearts are nestabilities.  The sentiment "love you much is from SU, well scripted.  Red, white, pink and black Valentine's Day card, simple and cute!

Get Well Soon Aunt Nan

My husband's aunt fell recently and broke her hip and now she is recovering in a rehab facility in Sun City, Florida where she lives.  She is 94 years old and is doing very well.  We were a little worried at first but she is making a great recovery especially for her age. Of note, just before she turned 94 in March she jumped out of an airplane!!  Tandem skydiving and I won't do it  at any age!  Amazing lady!  Anyhow I saw this card on pinterest as a birthday card and I  thought it would make a great "Get Well" card.  The paper is Bo Bunny and SU. The tulips are made from SU's bird punch. I used nestabilities for the sentiment and background for the tulips. Sponged a little Pixie Pink around the tulips so they would be a little more vivid. Love this card!  Thanks Pinterest!! What a great website! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Good-bye Kolkins

The doctor that I work for is closing his practice of neurology and moving to Vermont.  He is a great guy and his wife is so nice.  They are both going to be missed. I wanted to make something a little different and Stampersuzz's card gave me the idea. Check out  stampersuzz's card   The balloon paper is Bo Bunny.  I wanted something that would stand out like hot air balloons do in the sky.  The balloon is a nestabilities round circle with a rectangle.  The rectangle has rounded corners.  The basket is also the same rectangle with rounded corners. Also the basket is embossed with sizzix EF from Stampin up.  (the name of it escapes me)   I just attached it with some jute that I had but inked it brown first. I used lace and ribbon to decorate the balloon. Stampin up's cupcake punch was used for the clouds in the sky.  It is hard to see but I embossed the blue sky with cuttlebug EF as well as on the side.  The inside of the card reads:  Best Wishes for a smooth landing.  The funky fold card seemed just right to display this card.
