Fabric Folding

I found this video on Pinterest on making these Christmas ornaments and my sisters and I just love making them.  You really get better at it the more you do and having a 5/8 inch marker helps too! After we made these, we started making pine cones and I have started a Christmas tree and I know my sister has made an angel which are so adorable! There is also a tutorial on making a wreath too! The one thing that is different besides the positioning of the folded fabric for each of the projects, you don't have to iron the Christmas ornaments but ironing for the pine cones and Christmas tree is really important if you want a good point with the fabric.  Here is the tutorial for the ornaments if you are interested in giving them a try.  I feel like Jennifer and I are good friends because I have listened to her tutorial for the pine cones and the Christmas wreath.  She does a great job showing the techniques.   Check out the website below/youtube for her tutorial!

Pine Cone
It has been a busy summer planning a bridal shower for my niece who is getting married in France and also having my brother and sisters here from Florida, Massachusetts and New Jersey.  We all were together for the bridal shower which was so special.  I'll show pictures of the shower on my next post because there are quite a few with a Paris theme.

Also this past week, my son and his girlfriend, Sabrina were here from California.  So happy to see them and happy to meet Sabrina.  She is a doll!  Eric never lets me take pictures of him (just like his mom) but he relented.  It was a great week and the weather was perfect!!  Miss them already!

Happy couple

Bride to Be!

Here is the card for my sister, Adrianne!  Her bridal shower was this past weekend and we had a ball getting ready for it.  My other sisters, Andrea, Chris, Connie and I gave Adrianne her shower at Chris' house in Topsham, Maine.  We got a lot of our ideas from pinterest! (where else?) I made this teddy from a template that I found on pinterest.  I added some lace and a bow with some pearls.  The paper is from DSW which I got from Michael's.  The background paper is Graphic 45.

Inside the card!
Here are some pictures from the Adrianne's shower. I am sorry that the planning for this shower is over because it was so much fun making the different things for the shower.  The banners were made by Chris and we all made the bride/groom favors.  It won't be long before the big day on June 7th!  Happy Wedding Day Adrianne & Lenny!  Love you both!!

Kristin's Bridal Shower Card

I am still making these scallop tag punch cards.  Love the scallop tag punch from SU and the card that you can make from it.  I put a link on an earlier post to make this type of card. This one is for Kristin's who is my nephew's fiance.  Their wedding is coming in June and we are all praying for good weather.  Here in Maine sometimes June can be an "iffy" month as far as weather is concerned. They want to have the ceremony outside if possible.

The dress is from SU's thinlet's dress and embossed with a sizzix EF. I used turquoise for the ribbon around the dress and for the bow on the bouquet.   Turquoise and brown are the colors that Kristin has picked for her wedding, such a pretty combination.  The paper is Graphic 45 from their "Couture" collection.

On the inside of the card I made a pocket to put money for the gift.  White glitter paper was used for the memory box die to the right of the card.  The shower was fun and Kristin got a lot of great things especially for her honeymoon!!  Happy Wedding Day Kristin and Nathaniel!!!
