More February Cards

Here is another book style card that I made for my niece and her fiance's new home! I used Graphic 45's Artisan Style paper collection. Here are pictures of the inside of the card.
One of the pages has a little pocket for a gift card but in our case we gave them some cash so they can do with it what they need the most. Setting up a home for the first time, you just need everything!
And I did it again for a birthday card only with a gift card for a dear friend who was leaving for Disney in Florida. But this time I made the card vertical instead of horizontal. Graphic 45's Love Notes paper collection is so beautiful, I had to use it.
This is a birthday card for a 8 year old who can really appreciate flowers and bugs! By bugs I mean butterflies! I had to add some bling because, of course, she is a girly girl who loves bling! Happy Birthday Emily!

Happy Home!

It has taken a year for my boss and his family to build a new home.  We are going to a post Christmas Party for our office at their new home.  Can't wait to see it!  I made this pop up house card for them. The front of the card is a fence from SU hardwood stamp.  First time I have used the stamp and I love it.  It seems very authentic!  Grass is from Die-namics, flowers are SU and the pot is a sizzix die.

Love this house pop up card from Sizzix and Karen Burniston.  The color of his house is beige with a red, in-law apartment in the back. This a lot of fun to make.  The tree in the back is from Elizabeth Craft dies.  Best Wishes to the Donnelly's!!

Housewarming Card

My nephew and his girlfriend, Kristin just bought a house together and just last weekend got engaged!! We are all so very happy for them both!  Tomorrow was suppose to be their housewarming party but because of this blizzard in the Northeast they had to postpone the party until March.  I have been working on their card all week and finally finished it today during the storm.  Perfect day to spend time in my craftroom and watch the snow fall.  I was looking at my flower pot cards that I made a long time ago and got this house idea from them.  I cut a piece of cardstock measuring 4 1/2 by 9 inches.  The 9 inch side I scored in cut at 4 1/2.  Then I embossed one side of the 4 1/2 side which is the front of the house.  I sponged the front of the house with Close to Cocoa to make the siding stand out more.  Added the windows, door and fence with some grass.  The flowers are prima with a little bling in the middle.

Just pop off the roof and the sentiment reads, "It takes hands to build a house but only hearts can build a home" Author Unknown   I added the roof and the chimney which is embossed with Tim Holtz brick EF.  The chimney is sponged with red distressed ink from Ranger.

So now this will have to wait until March to give them this card. Let's hope all the snow will be melted by then.  We are expecting to get between 1-2 feet of snow, maybe more!   Hope everyone in the Northeast stays safe and warm tonight!! Thanks for stopping by!
