Thinking of you!

This trifold angular card is just a simple card to make for a "thinking of you" card for a friend who has lost her partner. Love this style because it has lots of room for a sentiment and decorating. On this card, I wanted the design paper to do the work. I have made several card with this paper collection from Graphic 45's - Blossom.
A fun weekend getting together with friends from elementary and high school! So lucky to have them in my life!

All Occasion Cards

This is a double Z card that I made for my sister and her husband's anniversary that was at the beginning of the month. The background paper is from Stampin up collection and the floral/butterfly paper is from Graphic 45. Always a fun style to make for any occasion.
Closer look at the inside and the sentiment was added to the back of the card.
Birthday card for a friend's grandson who is just starting to play football. He is quite an athlete at his young age of 10. I have made quite a few pop up cards and this is one of them. I thought it came out pretty good. Mostly, I did punch art for the helmet and football for the front of the card. The footballs inside the card is from Elizabeth Craft.
The third card that I made this month is a sympathy card. The paper is from Graphic 45 and it is a double Z fold again. This summer has been a busy month making cards for all occasions but mostly birthday cards. Lastly, I just want to promote our Etsy store. My sisters and I keep adding new items weekly. It won't be long before Christmas items will be showing up. The link to the store is https://www.etsy.com/search?q=cooksistersdesigns

File Folder Album

For some reason I like making mini albums with file folders.  I think it is so creative plus there isn't as much cutting except to layer the album pages.  The paper collection is from Bo Bunny called Juliet which I have pretty much usedit all with the other projects that I have done this fall.  The video for this cute file folder album is below.  Try it out, it is really easy and fun to do!

Here are some more pictures of the inside and the back of the album.  You can stand it up too!

Pockets on the outside

Additionally, I made a sympathy card  and I used Tim Holtz's dies and Stampin up dies and paper. This was a simple but very pretty card.  Love Stampin up flower die - really makes this card!

With Sympathy

Just a quick post for this Sympathy Card.  This Double Z card was made for a friend.  Her dad passed away this past week. The paper is from Stampin up that I have had for a while so I can't remember the name of the collection.  Love the purple and white paper.  This is a fun fold to make for any occasion.  All I used was punches and dies.  Thanks for stopping by to check out this simple card.

Busy January 2015

Hey Betty
I think January is as busy as December was.  I have a few birthday cards to make this month starting with this one.  A girlfriend of high school turns 60 at the end of this week.   She is the first of many of my friends from high school.  A bunch of us turn 60 in 2015!!!  This is a big year!!  Betti loves Betty Boop and I have made a Betty Boop card for her before but not for her birthday.  Saw this on pinterest using the top note die from Sizzix/SU.  So clever!

Inside sentiment for a 60 year old

This past week we found out that my son's girlfriend from high school, grandfather died.  My son was very close to him during his high school and college years so it was very sad for him.  His name is Jack Deering and our whole family became very close because Jack would call us from time to time to "check in" on Eric. He had a wonderful sense of humor.   He adored Eric and also, our daughter, Lindsey.  He was a very caring man and loved giving advise to young adults.  Jack will surely be missed.  Such a great guy!! Below is a sympathy card for the family.

You will be missed!

March Sympathy

This is a sympathy card that I made for my husband's secretary.  Her father died this past week.  He was 89 years young. I wanted to use spring colors since March is the beginning of spring.  SU's "Just Believe" stamp set is a beautiful set.  For the background I used my new honeycomb embossing folder also from SU and added some yellow rhinestones to keep with the cream, yellow and green colors. I saw something similar to this card on pinterest.  I wanted to show you but I couldn't find it and I didn't pin it.  Thanks for stopping by!
