This is my first time making a Sliding Pop up card so I know I need to work on it a little more. But I love the outcome of it. Kim Score's tutorial really explains it well on her "Cherry on top sliding pop up card" which is on her blog. She shows just how to make the little cake. Check out her blog at http://www.paperpunchaddiction.com/2010/07/cherry-on-top-sliding-pop-up-card.html
She uses the small tag punch from SU for the base of the cake and I used nestabiities scallop rectangle for the icing with a little glitter. The cherry is from SU cupcake punch but I think Kim used just a small circle punch. The stand for the cake is hard to see which I think I will change next time because it is the same color as the background but it is a word window punch and tag punch. The tag punch is cut into a triangle and the word window is cut just a little to give it a little indent.
The balloon punches are Martha Stewart and the hands holding the balloons are Mickey Mouse's.
If the link for the Cherry on top doesn't work I have Kim's blog on my blog list below just click on Paperpunch addiction and go to the Cherry on top sliding pop up card to the right where everything is listed. Have fun!!!

Poinsetta Christmas
I know it is only May but I promised myself I would start Christmas cards early this year! If I can make 1-2 a week for the rest of the year, I will be all set for December 25th. This poinsetta was made with Build a Blossoms punch from SU. There are 16 petals and I stamped them with real red ink before punching. The paper is from Stamped Designs (specialty store in Dover, NH) with tiny little poinsettas on it. The paper is perfect for this card. The huge pearl in the center of the poinsetta is from Eyelet Outlet. This card was so easy that I think I will make more to send out for Christmas. It gives you the feeling that you are getting a real poinsetta!!!

Red Cardinals
Since I got back from the CKC Convention in Manchester, NH, I have wanted to use my new Heartfelt Creations Cardinals. I bought the stamp and the coordinating Spellbinders dies. I used my copic markers to color them and perched them on sizzix " little leaves" die. The flowers are Stampin up Boho Blossoms punch with a little pearl for the center. This was all set on sizzix Top Note die. The sentiment is Just Rite cling stamp, "You mean the World to me". This was a very simple and quick card to make for just about any occasion. Love making these types of cards to have on hand. Thank you for hanging out with me!

The Stork Will Be Arriving Shortly
My neighbors are having a baby very soon and I wanted a quick card for her so I will be ready when the little ones decides to makes its' entrance. It will be their first and I am very happy for them. I think she told me that they were having a girl but I am ready in case it's a boy. I actually saw this punch art stork on Jackie Topa's blog. She does great punch art and her link is under my blog list if you would like to take a look at her blog.
I used 1 1/4 inch round punch for the head, the body is SU's oval wide punch in the pink card and medium oval in the blue card. I think I like the wide oval better. The wings are embossed with SU EF which I used the Build a Blossom punch. The leaf from Build a Blossom punch is used for the "bundle". The hat is from a sizzlet snowman head. The beak was tricky and pretty much free hand. I made an elongated triangle and cut it in the middle and then overlapped them to make the beak. The "little bundle" is tied together with ribbon. The ribbon was heated with the embossing gun to give it that "wrinkled look". Lastly, I sponged the stork with SU yoyo yellow to make it stand out a little more. I wanted to add a baby head but just couldn't get it to look right so I decided that the baby just would have to be inside nice and warm in the little bundle. Afterall it is a "little bundle of joy!" Thanks for looking!

Blue Blossoms
I just received my Boho Blossoms punch from SU so I used it on this card. This card could be a thankyou or birthday-just any happy occasion! I used the Build-A-Blossom punch along with the stamp set to make the flower. The middle of the flower is a light blue rose from SU. It was actually a hostess gift but I know it is in the catalog. For a little color I added the bumble bee brad on the petal of the flower, so cute. It is from Eyelet Outlet. There is embossing on the leaves of the big flower just to give it a little texture. The vine is the bird punch from SU and, of course, Boho Blossoms punch are the little flowers with a pearl in the center. The side step card is one of my favorite cards to make, having a hard time giving up this type of card but I will I'll try another! The picture makes this card a little washed out but the paper is Basic Grey and it is very pretty, honest!! This is just a little card for almost any occasion!! Love those kind!
