Birthday Z Fold

I have made this Z fold golf card before for a family member who loves golfing but wanted to do it for a friend who turned 70 last month and actually works for a golf course in the winter in Florida.  Our friends also celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary and I made them a Golden Anniversary card to celebrate!  Happy 50th Anniversary Elas! 

My last card for August Birthdays is another Card in the box with a unicorn!  All little girls love unicorns with rainbows.  I used my new castle die from Elizabeth Craft and my new stamp set from SU that has the sentiment "Hope your day is magical!"  The rainbow die is also from Stampin up. The paper collection I used is from Graphic 45.  Happy Birthday Julia!

I hate to say it but summer is almost over and school is starting up soon around here. September is just around the corner and I have many cards to do for friends and family.  So I better get busy!!

 My sisters and I are doing a couple of craft fairs in November of this year and this is a new craft project that Chris saw on Pinterest so the 3 of us decided to give it a try.  It is called Kimekomi. In one of the tutorials that I watched she did say that you get better the more you do and I think she is right.  This is the first one I did and I had to take out quite a few panels but I do like the final result.  I found the template for this one on  Pinterest and used fabric that I already had.  It is 15 inches tall and would make a beautiful centerpiece for a table or just a fun keepsake!  I am going to make a Santa one next and hopefully a gingerbread house and boy!  I have some ideas so need to get busy finding some templates.

August Birthdays

Love making a Card in a Box card!  This one is for a friend who has a birthday this week and she loves the beach.  Graphic 45 Sun Kissed Collection is so beautiful!  I used some dies  and punches to make the beach/ocean scene.  I found the sentiment on Pinterest. Happy Birthday Kathi!

I have been so busy  making July and August birthday cards.  Another birthday to a friend who is Irish and thought he would get a kick out of a green origami shirt with a little shamrock on the front of his shirt. Happy Birthday Brian!

Love this SU stamp set

Love making Z fold cards! This stamp set from Stampin up is a great set especially for summer birthdays and it is called High Tide. The paper collection is from DCVW called Beach House.  I haven't done just stamping on a card for a while and when I saw this on Pinterest, I wanted to give it a try.  I have another birthday card to make for August so I think I will use the same stamp set and make a card in a box with it.  Happy Birthday Hal!

The Heat is On!

We got back from our trip out west and was disappointed that our new liner was delayed by 3 weeks.  This past week they were able to put in the new liner before this 90+ degree weather.  We had a ball in the pool! Because of the heat, I haven't been in my craftroom but before that I was able to make a few birthday cards for my sister and a wonderful high school friend!  Check out pictures below of the cards I made for them and also a fun filled weekend with friends!

Caden's Cards!

It has been a busy summer!  Making birthday cards and getting ready for a couple of craft fairs that my sisters and I are doing this fall.  My husband and I just got back from a vacation trip that we took to Glacier and Yellowstone so I am still trying to get back on track to getting back into my craftroom.  Here are a couple of cards that I made for my friends grandson!  He loves dinosaurs and the Red Sox!!  The bridge card above and a card in a box below.  These dinosaurs are just the cutest!

This Red Sox card in a box birthday card I made for my friends to give to their grandson, Caden.  They are Red Sox fans and so is Caden.  This was so appropriate for both of them.  It is so much fun making cards that just works for that special person!  and they appreciate it so much.  Caden couldn't put them down!!  Happiest of birthdays Caden!!!

Fairy Dolls

Craft day with my sisters a couple of weeks ago and my sister-in-law, Charlotte, we made these cute fairy dolls! This has become my new passion! They are so adorable!  These dolls are made with floral wire and silk flowers!  The tutorial for this fairy doll is below and a few more pictures of fairy dolls that I have made since our craft day! Emilie does a great job showing how to make a simple fairy doll. Enjoy!
