Christmas Window

Made this Christmas Card for my hairdresser.  Today is my appointment so I wanted to get this to him today.  This is a Waffle Flower window die that actually opens.  Loving it!!  I made a fun winter scene with Impression Obsession deer dies and Lawn Fawn hillside stitched dies for the scene.  Some glittery snowflakes which is a MS punch.  The "Merry Christmas" sentiment was just perfect from Papertrey!  Lastly, I used the Brightly Lit bundle from Stampin up for the wreath.  I am heading back to my craftroom right now to make another one since all of these stamps and dies were so much fun to play with. 

Also made this Christmas cup with a little sentiment from Stampin Up.  I have made a few of these cups but they are so easy had to make another one. 

Altogether

This is the second large second Christmas scene I have made with the Tim Holtz/Sizzix church die.  Love that little bell in the tower.  This time I have carolers and used a cloche.  I have had it lit up at night and it is so pretty.    Having a lot of fun this holiday season!  More to come!  Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy this holiday season!

First time, I think, I have made two different cards for my twin sister's birthdays!  I am so proud of myself because I usually make the same card for them.  Elizabeth Craft owl die is so cute, I decided to use it with an autumn theme because Chris and Connie's birthday is December 2nd which is actually autumn but then, winter is right around the corner so I made a winter theme for the other card.  Clever, right?

For this card I used a scenic platform type card.  The leaves are from Lawn Fawn which is stitched and the acorn is from Impression Obsession.  I made the tree free-hand which was easy because it is just a limb.  The Giant ladybug is from Sizzix which I haven't used in a long, long time.

How cute is this stamp set from Stampin up???  I just love it!  The penquin and snowman are adorable!  I used Lawn Fawn  stitched hillside and mountain dies for the background.  This type of framed box card is fun to do too!  Happy Birthday Chris and Connie!  I am lucky to have you in my life!!

Thanksgiving Fun!

Place Holders

Last Saturday, I had a little craft day with my friend's granddaughter, Chloe.  I will show you at the end of this post what we made.  We had a lot of fun but my friends, Anna and Lynne both contracted me to make them these place  holders for their Thanksgiving dinner.  The total was 26 for both of their families and I just finished them this morning!  It is a box with a card which I will post the video instructions below.  I showed them this birthday box in a card and they were thrilled that I would make them.  I used different paper collections for these cards and I used dies from Lawn Fawn and Impression Obsession. The leaves from Lawn Fawn are stitched leaves which are so lovely.  The pine cones I got at Michaels which were the perfect size for these boxes.

The box is measured 2x2 which is plenty of room for a small gift or candy like Hersey's kisses.  I actually counted 14 Hersey's kisses would fit.  The instructions are below but I made a platform for the box - so instead of cutting out the 2x4 rectangle I cut it so that it made a little stand for the box.  I did it just so the card stood up a little better.  My only suggestion is to make sure you use thick cardstock for the base.

On Craft Day, we made little turkey favors out of toilet paper holders and pinwheels using We R Memory Keepers punch board.  The turkeys were made with a series of triangle cuts starting with the head. It was a success for all!!  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Russ' Birthday Card

I have certainly been busy this past week in my craftroom with Christmas cards to get out and my sisters having a birthday.  I can't post what I made for my sisters since I haven't given it to them yet but I can post my brother-in-law's card since he isn't a visitor to my blog.  I saw this card on pinterest and watched the video on how to make it on Splitcoast.  It is called an envelope fold card. Make sure you use good and sturdy cardstock for this card. I wanted to use my Elizabeth Craft owl die because all of her animal dies are so cute!!  Just added some leaves and finished up the card.    I want to try this type of card again and have something hanging, like snowflakes falling, which they are predicting here in Maine at the end of the week.

The front of the card is pretty simple with Tim Holtz Sizzix words.  I use these dies all the time for cards and projects.
