Twin Rose Birthday

Last week I bought this Elizabeth Craft rose die and I love it!!  So beautiful.  I needed to make a card with this die immediately.  The picture doesn't do the colors justice but the roses are a light pink and deeper pink background with a silver glitter outline.  The rose at the top for the stopper is Tim Holtz ceramic pink rose that I inked pink.  Love the way this upright Z fold stands up.  The paper is from My Mind's eye which is a diagonal gray/pink combo and pink rose/gray background, very pretty! Can't go wrong with gray/pink and green!!  I haven't decorated the inside yet because I am not sure who I am going to send this card but I will.  Check out the pictures below of this card and I added a picture of Elizabeth Craft rose die in the package to find it easier.  Just love it!  I see myself using this die a lot!!  Thanks for stopping by!

Closer look at the overlay roses!
Upright Z fold!
Added some glitter to the back too!
Gorgeous!

Valentine Baskets!

A couple of fun baskets to make for Valentine's Day! I made one for my husband and one for my daughter.  My sister, Chris, showed me a picture of a fry box basket which I made in a previous post, and then added fry boxes on each end of that but first you need to turn the middle fry boxes around so that the front of the boxes were glued together.    Hope that makes sense to you.  Then just decorate the boxes and I also decorated the handles.  I used a lot of Stampin up, Spellbinders, Memory box, and MS punch products to decorate the baskets.  These would be so cute for Easter!  A couple of pictures below showing the back of the baskets and handles.  Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Love the MS heart border punch!
Hearts, hearts and more hearts!

Small Fry Box Valentine Basket!

Hey there!  Just a quick post on this SU fry box Valentine basket.  It is just two fry boxes with handle-side glued together to make this cute basket, then punch with the SU oval punch the handle at the top.  So easy and cute!  Spellbinder's hearts on the side and then added some candy and Viola! All done!!  Check out some pictures below!  Love it!!

Valentine Hugs and Kisses!

Loving these tent cards!  This one is for my husband.  I found this "Hugs and Kisses" heart at Michaels and thought it would be cute to put on a card. It is so adorable with cupid in the right upper-hand corner.  I made another Valentine card for my husband which  is a shadow card.  These are also easy to make and look great!

How cute is this puppy??  I saw  this card on pinterest which gave me the idea for this shadow box card.  The sentiment can go on the back of the card but the front of the card says it all!  Love you!

One more shadow box card that I made for my co-worker's daughter.  She loves the cards I make so I thought I would surprise her with a Valentine for her.  The cupid die I shadowed with white cardstock so that it would show ups better against the red.  The back of the card is perfect for the sentiment since there is plenty of space for it.

Still working on some more Valentine's Day cards and baskets.  Valentine's Day is just around the corner so back to my craftroom.  I'll post pictures of my new desk that I got at Wayfair.  I just love being organized!!  Thanks for stopping by!

Cupid and Hearts

Here is our Valentine's Day card for my son.  It is going in the mail tomorrow.  My sister, Chris, made a tent card for her Christmas cards this year and I thought they were so cute.  Really easy to make which is always a plus!! It is hard to see in this picture but the heart with cupid, which is from Impression Obsession, is hanging from a string.  You will be able to see it better in the picture below.

It is like a little shadow box and I love that it can stand so well.  This card measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 so it fits fine in a standard envelope.  You can actually  make it any size you want.

The sentiment is on the back of the card with a red glitter bow! Happy Valentine's Day Eric!  and
Thank you Chris for the idea!!!

Birthday Pup!

I saw this cute punch art dog on pinterest and immediately thought to make it for my husband's birthday.  Today is Mark's birthday and he is such a dog lover!! Me too but he has had dogs in his life since he was a baby.  So I thought it was about time to make him one.  Gretel is our golden retriever and she is 10 years old and has just been diagnosed with congestive heart failure so we don't know how much longer we will have her.  This is a perfect card for so many reasons!

Check out this card on pinterest. Unfortunately, I didn't find what punches were used so I did my own thing and I think it came out very similar.  I used circles, ovals, tab and bird punches.

Happy Birthday Husband!

Birthday Cupcake

I have been wanting to make this type of card for a while. It is called an upright Z fold card.  Have been looking all over for the instructions, although, it is pretty easy to figure out but wanted the exact scoring measurements.  So I finally found some very good instructions here.  Stamp owl made a Christmas card but I wanted to do a birthday card for a high school friend who's birthday is next week so I am headed to the Post Office to get it in the mail. Like she did, I used Elizabeth Craft's stickers and colored with copics for the front of the card.  The background is embossed with the "happy birthday" Cuttlebug EF.  The paper line I used is from "My Mind's Eye".  It has a fabric feel to it.  Just love the colors!

The inside of the card is a sentiment I had from my stash that says "Your Special Day" with a drink to celebrate!  Betti always post a drink, usually a martini, on Friday night of her drink on Facebook and they always look yummy!  I think she will get the connection.  LOL!  The upper left hand corner is the stopper to hold the card when it stands up and I had a cupcake brad which was perfect!

The Back of the card was a fun sentiment and some Martha Stewart punch balloons.  This was a fun card to make and I am sure I will make more.  It gives you a lot of space for sentiments and decorating for whatever occasion the card is.  Happy Birthday Betti!  Enjoy your special day!!
